In coordination with the Medical Director, serve as a designated medical provider for suspicious physical injury cases referred under Karlys Law. Provide additional medical consultation for multidisciplinary team members and local medical providers on child abuse issues as needed.

Provide expert and fact witness testimony in Benton and Linn County proceedings and other jurisdictions as required.

All Direct Support Professionals will be hired at a training wage of $18.15 - $19.26 per hour depending on experience. The wage is then increased after completion of the 90-day probationary period.

We are a 24-hour residential provider. Different schedules are available: daytime, swing, overnight shifts. Full-time and part-time shifts are available.

As a DSP you will provide support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in ways that enhance the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of those we support. You will support health and safety, integration in the community, meaningful activity, personal relationships, personal choice, and dignity. You are expected to follow all agency policies and procedures, as well as each individual's plans and protocols. You are responsible for protecting the agency and the people we support against loss. Job duties include dispensing medications and treatments as prescribed, documentation and data collection as required, maintaining a clean, healthy, and attractive home and yard, as well as providing supports outside of the home including in any community-based employment or volunteer positions for the people we support.
This position reports to: Program Manager, or person in charge
Takes direction from: program management, health professionals, and consultants.
Essential Job Functions

Perform all necessary personal care, hygiene, physical support, and daily living needs.
Follow all Individual Support Plans, Protocols, etc as trained.
Cooperate and participate professionally with team members, health professionals, consultants, parents, guardians, and other parties.
Complete documentation and data collection in an accurate and timely manner, including financial records for the people we support and the program.
Accurately dispense and document medications and administer treatments as prescribed.
Work safely and efficiently at all times
Maintain a clean, healthy, and attractive home and yard.
Prepare meals and snacks according to the dietary needs and preferences of the people we support.
Arrive to work as scheduled on-time, and ready to work.
If acting as a job coach, be able to communicate to employer of scheduling and support needs.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or designee.
