Follows all C&J Tender Heart R.S. transportation policies and procedures whether transporting in a C&J Tender Heart vehicle or in the employees personal vehicle.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must be at least 18 years of age.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma/G.E.D. required; previous experience in a care giving.

Help physically disabled move from room to room around their homes.
Assist individuals in dressing, bathing, and completing basic hygiene tasks.
Oversee any required rehabilitation exercises.
Ensure that individuals take their prescribed medications or administer medications: paid training provided.
Prepare meals that adhere to special dietary considerations.
Help adults with developmental disorders learn to make a budget and complete basic household tasks.
Assist/complete home keeping chores: Dishes, laundry, vacuum, mopping, ETC.
Transportation to and from work/programs ( M-F as needed), transportation for social and medical activities/appointments.
Runs errands to the grocery store, laundromat, cleaners, drugstore, and other necessary locations.
Serves as a companion. Organizes activities for patients.
Perform all job duties in a manner that is friendly, respectful, and aligned with the agency's Mission, Values, Patient Care Philosophy and Standards of Ethical Conduct.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2+ experience providing direct care service to adults with a variety of disabilities.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be certified within 60 days of starting the position on First Aid/CPR.
Maintain a current and valid Ohio or Michigan driver's license, a good driving record, adequate insurance, and be willing to use personal car to perform job duties.
Basic computer skills.
Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving
Be able to pass a DRUG TEST and BACKGROUND CHECK.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing: Maintaining an upright position on the feet, especially for prolonged periods of time
Pushing: Applying pressure and exerting force against an object for the purpose of moving it forward or away from the source of the force - push or pull force up to 35 lbs.
Lifting: Raising an object from a lower to a higher position, or moving an object laterally, from position to position-Required to lift up to 50 lbs of force independently. May be required to lift over 50 lbs with assistance of another person or a mechanical lift.
Stooping: Bending the body forward and down from the waist, hips, and knees, sometimes for a prolonged length of time.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction away from the body
Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces
Ability to safely operate a personal motor vehicle on a weekly basis and comply with the Company's Vehicle Safety Program.
