Then you will want to come and work for Easterseals Iowa, supporting our clients to live in their own home, in the Des Moines metro area, assisting individuals to work on their goals to be more independent. Things like learning how to cook on their own, social skill building, money skills, improving their health, learning safety skills, personal cares, and much more!
Now is a great time to join our team as we have some exciting options for you! We are currently have 8 hour shift openings during the week and weekend 12 hour shifts on the weekends!
Pay range for the position is set beginning at $14.75 up to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience level. A .25 wage increase is available upon completion of a successful 90 day orientation period.
Any weekend hours, (Friday at 7p-Monday at 7a), will pay a shift differential of $2.00 extra per hour.
Sign on bonuses do require successful completion of all orientation period requirements within the first 90 days.
Providing transportation to clients will be a requirement for this position in any shift.

Directly implementing skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans written by a supervising BCBA

Directly implementing skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans written by a supervising BCBA
Collecting accurate data for all treatment plans and behavior programs, which is then provided to the BCBA for analysis

What You Do:
Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for clients.
Assist clients with daily tasks such as self-care, medication management, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
Support clients in developing decision-making skills and building independence.
Help clients schedule and attend appointments.
Complete required documentation regarding client support and progress.
Understand and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
Promote client participation in community activities and social networks.
Manage conflicts and emergency situations with professionalism.
Identify and address potential health and safety risks
Support multiple clients from multiple sites/homes
Requirements

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in working with individuals with disabilities and mental health is must
Licenses/Requirements:
Valid Class C Iowa Driver's License.
Proof of Automobile Insurance.
Must pass required background checks.
Access to a reliable computer and internet for documentation, or ability to travel to a location with access.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and sensitivity while maintaining professional boundaries.
Ability to follow detailed Individual Support Plans.
Ability to work with multiple clients at various sites/homes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality.
Work Environment• Client home and community including but not limited to medical providers, retail stores, outdoor recreation, and indoor recreation• Work and travel in all types of weather, including inclement weather
