Instructional Support
· Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
· Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
· Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
· Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
· Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
· Help the teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
· Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Student Management
· Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
· Make the teacher aware of special needs or problems of individual students.
Other
· Attend and participate in faculty meetings and special events and serve on staff committees as required.
· Ensure that all interactions with students, District personnel, and parents are supportive, courteous, and respectful.

· Maintain confidentiality.
· Develop and maintain systems for retrieval of information in support of all programs; compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents.
· Pursue Professional Development activities for self and assigned staff; ensure that Professional Development activities are aligned with District goals and initiatives and current professional research.
· Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
· Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
· Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
· High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
· Have met formal academic assessment, associate degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning*
· Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate

· An associate degree, two years of study at an institute of higher learning or have met formal academic assessment Required by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)

Job Description:
The primary focus of the Life Skills Coach is to help make life more rewarding for our Veterans with neurological disorders, physical disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries by providing the delivery of high-quality home and community services. Life Skills Coaches accomplish these results by effectively supporting and carrying out quality client care plans, ensuring resources are engaged effectively to meet client needs, orienting/educating clients and client's families about health care plan services and procedures, supporting accurate and complete documentation, and supplying timely data for generating accurate invoices. Our Life Skills Coaches come together in a team effort with Case Managers and family members to best serve Veterans through dynamic social, recreational, wellness, educational, and individualized life skills training and activities in the home and community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must be able to travel to current or prospective clients homes
Must be able and willing to transport client(s) during client visits

Must be able to communicate with health care professionals, clients, families, and the general public through verbal and written communication
Must have access to a private personal laptop or desktop computer for HIPAA compliance

Able to work independently, manage ones own time and the time of client(s)

Position Summary
The Life Skills Coach for the Cross Road Enrich Program helps clients with their planned goals, recreational activities (e.g. lake sports, swimming, rock climbing), vocational opportunities, life skills and personal care. The Life Skills coach supplies student support for generalizing learned skills and teaching new skills. Additionally, they use company transportation to transport clients and ensure safety at events in the community.
Position Qualifications
Preferred: A minimum of an associate degree or credits equivalent to Junior in College (at least 60 hours)
Required: Highschool diploma or GED
Required: Some experience working with individuals with ASD or intellectual disabilities.
Required: Must complete Company Training within the first 90 days of employment: CPR, First Aid, and CPI or Safety Care
Required: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Required: Must hold a valid Texas driver's license and possess an acceptable driving record.
Required working conditions include:
Environments include indoor (e.g. office, house, classroom), and outdoor with resultant climate variations.

Operational Responsibilities

Collect data, observe client behavior as directed based on client' plans.
Provide transportation and assistance with community events with use of company vehicles.
Ensure safety and welfare (e.g. assist clients taking medication on schedule, administering CPR and first aid if necessary)
Serve as an advocate for 29 Acres clients in the community and in program modification through brainstorming meetings as needed.
Engage in ongoing professional development.
