Key Responsibilities

The Physician - Internal Medicine/HIV Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive care to HIV patients and management of common and complex diseases. The Internist/ HIV specialist must be able to effectively diagnose patients and suggest a course of treatment and prescribe and administer medications, immunizations, and other non-surgical treatments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct patient care to Betances patients. Diagnose and treat acute illness, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes.
Maintenance of a clinic panel of people living with HIV and other patients appropriate to ongoing infectious disease oversight.

Refer patients to other medical specialists, when necessary.
Maintain an ongoing relationship with back-up hospital and its professionals. Ultimately, have admitting privileges at that institution.
Timely completion of accurate and detailed notes, patient care forms, and letters.
Must adhere to BHC policies and procedures.
Must participate and complete quarterly peer reviews in a timely fashion.
Must attend monthly Provider Meetings.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking On-Call Residential Aides to support our transitional shelter. Unlike set-schedule staff, On-Call Residential Aides must be flexible and available to cover any shift as needed: 12am - 8am, 8am - 4pm, or 4pm - 12am. The Residential Aides ensure that the participants of the transitional shelter are safe, monitor access to the facility, maintain an accurate count of the number of people in the facility, provide hourly tours of the facility, and maintain confidentiality of the facility.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is an Residential Aide role that provides on-call coverage during weekdays, evenings, and overnight shifts, Including 8:00a.m. - 4:00pm., 4pm -12a.m., and 12a.m. (midnight) - 8a.m., as needed. The Residential Aides ensures that safety and security of the participants residing in the transitional shelter are safe, monitors access to the facility, maintains an accurate head count of the number of people in the facility, conducting hourly tours of the facility, and maintains confidentiality of the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
Distributes information to residents regarding program rules and regulations.
Ensures compliance with program safety policies and procedures.
Screens incoming visitors to the facility by means of identification verification.

Conducts monthly apartment inspections.
Monitors fire safety alarm panel and respond to facility emergencies.
Maintains a logbook of facility activities.
Conducts hourly tours of the facility to ensure its safety.
Answers and transfers incoming calls.
Prepares Incident/Accident and FYI reports for emergencies and violations of rules and/or regulations.
Responds to security emergencies.
In the absence of maintenance staff, sweeps the entry area, courtyard, and front of building as needed.

Previous experience working in a shelter setting with families preferred;
F-80 and F-02 License strongly preferred.
