Job Summary
The Care Supervisor provides direct oversight and management of their assigned division's Success Coaches (Case Managers). They are accountable for ensuring 1) that all assigned staff are being managed, trained, supported, and held accountable, 2) that all participants within their assigned division are being consistently provided with care, resources, support, and services that best meet their needs 3) the operational, staff scheduling, and licensing/contractual related the care needs of the division are met in a timely, consistent manner - and that both 1), 2) and 3) are done so in accordance with the organization's mission, vision, values, frameworks, and philosophies. This position requires a significant and frequent amount of timely responsiveness to deadlines, crisis, needs, emergencies to include, but not limited to covering shifts that have not been sufficiently covered and after hours in-person response to operational/facility emergencies. This position provides directsupport to the Division Manager and is a part of the division's leadership team. The program requires frequent collaboration with other organizational divisions and community stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
Conduct weekly case staffing with each case worker all programs within The Neighborhood (approximately 1.5 - 2 hours each). Attend weekly shelter calls hosted by CYFD
Manage the census spreadsheet for all housing programs. Manage the entry & discharge information of all youth residing at My Friend's Place
Update the NM CYFD Shelter Daily Census form as often as needed to reflect accurate shelter availability, or utilize designated census tracking platforms. Ensure the contact information for the shelter on the shelter census page is accurate.
Report to the Licensing Authority within 24 hours, any serious incident or unusual occurrence which has, or could threaten the health, safety, or welfare of the clients or staff of the facility.
Provide reasonable access and referrals to community based physical and behavioral health services and supports to meet the needs of the participants to ensure the continuity of care
Complete the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) trauma screen with each eligible participant receiving services
Complete the Child Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool (CSE-IT) with each participant ages 10 and over
Ensure every participant is enrolled in an appropriate education program in accordance with New Mexico State law
Ensure each participant is properly immunized according to the immunization schedule of the New Mexico Health Department, Public Health Division.
Arrange for each participant a general medical and dental examination by a physician/dentist for each participant in care
Conduct admissions/coordinated entry and conduct both coordinated/uncoordinated discharge
What You Need:Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Family and Consumer Sciences, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology from an accredited College or University
Must have a minimum three years of any combination of experience including working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health and/or health care experience, and relevant work experience with juvenile justice systems
Must have a minimum of two years of experience in a position of formal leadership and supervision of a
team of at least 4 persons

The DirectSupportProfessional (DSP) V, Home Supervisor, performs highly advanced (senior level) work overseeing the daily operations and delivery of quality programs and services provided on the assigned home at the State Supported Living Center (SSLC). Arranges work schedules to ensure adequate supervision/coverage based upon levels of supervision and levels of direct care of individuals served. Provides leadership to, and plans, assigns and supervises the activities of DSPs on the home. Performs supervisory functions such as hiring, training, coaching, time and leave accounting, and promoting professional growth. Models for and coaches DSP IV "Charge" staff to build their supervisory and leadership skills, and ensures they effectively monitor habilitation, behavior management, crisis intervention, mealtime coordination, and other plans for each shift. Ensures that care, treatment, training, and support activities are completed and documented, in collaboration with other disciplines. Provides consultation, guidance, and support to staff to build capacity for working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors. Ensures that all assigned staff are compliant in training per agency and facility standards. Reviews essential job functions, performance expectations, coaches job performance, and provides supportive and constructive feedback. Conducts performance evaluations of assigned staff to give employees timely feedback on their performance and oversees staff development plans and activities. Ensures all staff are entering their time accurately into the CAPPS system to reflect leave earned/taken, reviewing and approving entries, as well as ensuring all direct reports certify their time entries on a monthly basis. Ensures sufficient active treatment/engagement materials are always available for the individuals' safe and therapeutic use. Works collaboratively with other staff assigned to the home such as in the areas of QIDP services, behavioral health, and active treatment/vocational services to ensure integrated services and programming. Attends Interdisciplinary Team Meetings (IDTs) and participates in the development and implementation of individuals' plans. Ensures DirectSupportProfessionals (DSPs) understand and are adequately trained to implement the plans.
Provides consultation, guidance, and support to staff to build capacity for working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors. Provides behavioral intervention strategies to ensure that individuals are protected from harm or injury and appropriately manages aggressive behavior between individuals. Models how to work with individuals who have complex needs and who exhibit aggressive and/or self-injurious behaviors. Guides staff to adapt to changing populations and needs and develops and implements strategies to meet those needs.
Ensures proper management and supervision of staff and their assigned duties to ensure that individuals are free from physical and emotional harm. Ensures ongoing and respectful interaction between the staff and the individuals. Maintains a physical presence on the home to ensure optimal quality of life for the individuals. Supervises monitors and documents the activities of DSPs. Praises staff for positive performance, creating an environment where staff feel safe to ask for help and guidance, while intervening to correct mistakes in real time when necessary.
Ensures the health care needs of individuals are met, under the supervision of medical personnel. Administers first aid to individuals as appropriate. Conducts emergency drills on a monthly basis, such as CPR drills, fire drills, ensuring all staff know their role in a true emergency. Reports and ensures DSPs report significant changes in individuals' physical conditions and/or behavior to designated personnel.
Ensures that the home is maintained as a safe and sanitary living environment for individuals. Ensures infection control and risk management policies and procedures are correctly implemented. Ensures that individuals' environment is free of safety hazards by correcting and reporting hazards, entering work orders for maintenance issues, and teaching and overseeing others to do the same.
Ensures the assigned home is engaged in continuous quality improvement and compliance with the Department of Justice Settlement Agreement. Oversees and ensures the reporting of unusual incidents such as fires, abuse of individuals, injuries, and unauthorized departures. Review documentation following significant events. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations to the Unit Director.
Provides guidance and assistance to DSP staff to understand and implement program procedures, policies, and laws, such as the Texas Administrative Code (TAC). Ensures proper procedures are followed in Abuse & Neglect investigations, and follow-up assignments are completed in a timely manner for any administrative concerns identified in such investigations. Ensures that identified issues are responded to promptly. Ensures proper supports are put in place as directed.
Attends routine meetings such as scheduling meetings, morning unit/home meetings and staff meetings and follows up with issues generated from meetings. Prepares required reports and other documentation. Attends other meetings, serves on committee, and performs other specific tasks, such as providing assistance in transporting of individuals going on scheduled activities and in emergency situations when directed by the Assistant Unit Director/Unit Director or other SSLC Leadership. Serves as the Assistant Unit Director/Unit Director in his/her absence, as assigned.
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.

Peer recovery support is personalized to align with the specific hopes, goals, and preferences of the individual served and to respond to specific needs the individuals has identified to the peer worker.
VOLUNTARY:
Peer workers are partners or consultants to those they serve.
They do not dictate the types of services provided or the elements of recovery plans that will guide their work with peers.
Participation in peer recovery support services is always contingent on peer choice.
RELATIONSHIP-FOCUSED:
The relationship between the peer worker and the peer is the foundation on which peer recovery support services and support are provided.
The relationship between the peer worker and peer is respectful, trusting, empathetic, collaborative, and mutual.
TRAUMA-INFORMED:
Peer recovery support utilizes a strengths-based framework that emphasizes physical, psychological, and emotional safety and creates opportunities for survivors to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.

Position Overview
As a Petco Certified Dog Trainer, you will play a vital role in furthering Petco's mission as a Pet Health and Wellness company by enhancing the bond between pet parents and their dog companions. Your expertise in modern dog training techniques and positive reinforcement methods will help pet parents develop well-behaved, happy, and healthy dogs. You will provide one-on-one training sessions, group classes, and offer advice on basic training, environmental management, and customized training plans to address specific training goals. In addition to dog training, you'll also be actively engaging with guests to provide 360-degree personalized solutions for the unique needs of pets and pet parents. You'll positively impact the health and wellness of pets by providing recommendations on healthy nutrition, world class services and essential supplies.

The Dog Trainer role consists of 2 core responsibilities:
Provide World Class Dog Training Services
Attend and successfully pass Petco's 6-week Dog Trainer Instructor Program led by a Petco Certified Dog Trainer Mentor/Academy Instructor.
Complete all assigned Workday Learning modules and DTIP Student Workbook materials per the DTIP roadmap.
Recommend and sell appropriate dog training classes, training, and supplies to ensure pet parents and their dogs have the necessary resources for a successful dog training experience.
Keep accurate records of training sessions, progress, and pet parents' feedback.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Work cross functionally with the grooming and veterinary teams to provide holistic whole health solutions for all pet parents.
Complete and apply ongoing training programs to maintain a high level of expertise in the role.
Provide 360-Degree Solutions for all Petco Guests
Provide an outstanding guest experience by actively engaging with guests in the recommendation and selection of merchandise and services in accordance with their identified needs.
Generate future business through a deep understanding of the guest and their pet(s) and connection to our digital platforms.
Demonstrate a high level of awareness and knowledge for the health, welfare, and proper handling of all animals.
Perform related duties to support the Pet Care Center in achieving its performance goals.
Ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed to enhance the shopping experience for pet parents.
Complete cash register transactions and support guests with their OMNI shopping experience as needed.
Adhere to established operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.

Certification Requirements
Stage 1: All candidates are required to complete the ‘Dog Training Instructor Program (DTIP)' to become Petco Certified Dog Trainer consisting of the following:
Dog Training Apprentice: 6-weeks weeks of instructor led learning and development.
Stage 2: Dog Trainer: Successfully run and grow the dog training business in one of Petco's Pet Care Centers with local and national marketing support, with access to internal partner resources, networking, and client acquisition through our state-of-the-art online booking and scheduling systems.
Stage 3: Complete the Health & Wellness Certification Program for Dog.
Note: Approved candidates with prior experience that can pass both skill and knowledge assessments may be eligible for accelerated training.
Basic Qualifications
Passion for animal care, training, and welfare and a genuine interest for improving the lives of pets and their pet parents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pet parents and provide clear instructions, demonstrations and applicable selling techniques.
Demonstrated ability to handle and work with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds in a safe and humane manner.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed to accommodate the training schedule and store operations.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) associated with dog training equipment and supplies.
Familiarity with computer systems and software to manage training records, schedules, and communication with pet parents.
