Your day as a Lead DirectSupportProfessional
As a Full-Time Lead DirectSupportProfessional (DSP) at DDRC, you play a key role in ensuring high-quality supports are delivered consistently and effectively. You will work closely with the Program Manager and Nurse to support and guide the DirectSupport Team while also providing hands-on directsupport.
In this role, you will help prioritize daily tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment. You will participate in interdisciplinary and staff meetings to promote collaboration, clear communication, and continuity of care. A critical part of this position includes supervising and administering medications, as well as providing life skills training in areas such as relationships, sex education, safety, and money management.
You will actively monitor and address the medical needs of the people you support, ensuring any concerns are communicated promptly to the Program Manager and Nurse. Additionally, you will assist with staff scheduling and coverage, support onboarding and training for new staff, and help maintain a positive and effective team culture.

To succeed as a Full-Time Lead DirectSupportProfessional at the DDRC, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills. Candidates must be able to safely lift, pivot, and transfer up to 75 pounds independently or with assistance.
We strongly prefer candidates with at least two years of paid or volunteer experience supporting individuals with disabilities, as well as one year of staff supervision experience. Comfort using required software and tools is important for managing responsibilities, prioritizing tasks, and supporting a fast-paced work environment.

Working Conditions:

**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**
**Troubleshooting and Customer Service:**
+ Manage ticket queues for assigned primary departments by working alongside teammates in a collaborative environment to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain computer equipment, mobile devices, and peripherals for university departments on campus.
+ Exercise independent judgment in determining the best method to resolve a given computer problem and determine whether the problem can be resolved to the customer's satisfaction within the confines of computing policies and standards of CU Boulder.

**Computer Management and Documentation:**

+ Proactively manage Windows computers using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Active Directory, including management of security groups, computer principles, and Group Policy Objects.
+ Consult with key personnel in supported departments to determine business needs, and consequently decide how to organize and subdivide the department's Active Directory OU structure and customize the Group Policy Objects to meet the technological requirements of each business unit.
+ Proactively handle Apple computers in a similar manner using Jamf in parallel with Active Directory.
+ Manage file server permissions for the department and customize the structure of the share point to meet the business needs of the supported department in accordance with Dedicated Desktop Support guidelines and standards.
+ Sensitive or private data may exist within supported departments, and this position is responsible for securing the information in accordance with university policies in conjunction with the management team and the IT Security Office.
+ Create and update documentation that describes all customizations performed for supported departments. This includes technical information on AD layout, file server layout, specialized applications, specialized OS loadset images, asset inventory of supported devices, and contact information for supported customers.
**Business Needs Analysis and Liaison to Supported Departments:**
+ With assistance from the Dedicated Desktop Support Managers and Senior Dedicated Desktop technical staff, plan and design future enhancements or upgrades to the departmental application software and hardware to enhance productivity and ensure a high level of service reliability, including activities such as evaluating the feasibility, compatibility, performance, and cost effectiveness of potential system upgrades.
+ Responsible for implementation of the future enhancements/upgrades planned for and designed by the desktop management team.
+ Coordinate with users, departmental liaisons, and Office of Information Technology staff to determine their needs, and present recommendations on purchases and installation.
+ Meet with department customers on a regular basis to understand business objectives, assess if technical solutions are meeting their needs, document findings, and determine next steps.
+ Develop department-specific service migration strategies to meet departmental technical needs.
**Training and Projects:**
+ Expand technical skills and expertise by acquiring knowledge in new technologies, systems, applications, procedures, and tools and share the knowledge with the Desktop Support team.

**What You Should Know**
+ This position is in a hybrid work situation.
+ This role participates in voluntary on-call rotation with definitive response times; the likelihood of the on-call employee having to come on-site to respond/handle the issue/incident is rare. When not on call, you will be expected to respond in a reasonable (though not definitive) amount of time when called outside working hours regarding issues and incidents that arise.

+ The annual salary range for this full-time position is $49,900 - $53,650.
+ DDS Professionals progress through 4 levels of specific trainings, certifications, and increased job responsibilities. Advancement through each level is determined by the Advancement Board, consisting of DDS Managers. The Advancement Board meets regularly to collectively assess each DDS Pro's progress toward meeting the requirements for the next level. Progress through Level 1, usually within the first month, will require completion of certain trainings and certifications. Progress through Levels 2 and 3, generally within the first year, may result in an increase in annual salary of up to $58,500.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
1. Promotes the health, safety, and welfare of the participants.
Engages in skilled interaction with participants who require therapeutic support to live full and enriching lives.
Assists participants with daily living supports, such as; assisting with lunch from minimal prompting to full support.
Assists with toileting hygiene from minimal prompting to full support.
Assists participants in accessing and utilizing their community, by transporting them safely to community-based sites for activities, utilizing company cars, buses, walking, etc.
Learns and consistently practices effective teaching skills, working with Therapeutic and Coordinating team as necessary.
2. Acts in accordance with Community Services policies, mission, and the Individual Plans.
Supports and implements activities according to Community Services guidelines, in the context of activity protocols and plans, and in the context of a nurturing, stable environment.
Completes documentation and tracking timely and accurately.
3. Monitors and reports on data to ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines and regulations, including Imagine! Policies and Procedures.
Ensures quality service delivery, meeting the guidelines set forth in Community Services quality standards, as well as follows schedules, information sheets, and plans.
Completes all required training, including annual refreshers, in the appropriate timeframe.
Reports all behavioral incidents, medical emergencies, and/or significant changes in medical condition to supervisor, and completes all related paperwork in a timely manner.
Implement Individual Treatment/Behavior Plans developed by Behavior Therapists and/or BCBAs
and implements behavior intervention strategies as directed by the Behavior Therapist or BCBA
Collect data when working with some individuals
Proactively communicate any questions or concerns to the Behavior Therapist or BCBA
Other Duties/Responsibilities
Supports Community Services mission in the context of both individual and collaborative work.
Actively participates in staff meetings, workshops, in-services, discussions, etc.
Maintains and cares for Imagine!'s property, including supplies, vehicles, etc., being mindful of safety and cleanliness.
Represents Community Services in meetings and committees, as well as in promoting and marketing, as requested.
Promotes team morale by being positive and professional.

Demonstrated skill in working with people with developmental disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting.
