About the Opportunity
Assignment Length: 8+ months (possible extension)
Shift: Day
Schedule: Part-time (Monday to Wednesday)
Hours: 8am to 6pm (10-hour shifts)
Setting: 100% Inpatient
Patient Population: Adults (18+)
EMR: EPIC
Responsibilities
Performing inpatient evaluations, consults, and daily management of cardiology patients
Ordering, interpreting, and documenting diagnostic testing and treatment plans
Prescribing medications and obtaining procedural consents
Assisting with admissions, discharges, transfers, and care coordination
Providing patient and family education
Collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and consulting providers
Handling other duties, as needed
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a Cardiology role/setting
Master's Degree
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) program
NJ Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
Board Eligible / Certified
ACLS and BLS certifications
Strong inpatient clinical judgment and documentation skills

As guided by Senior Day Program Staff, serves on team within designated area of responsibility to determine daily program activities for everyone.

Participates in community activities with consumers as assigned by Senior Habilitation / Vocational Specialist.
