POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND DAILY FUNCTIONS
Time management is essential. Punctuality is crucial as people depend on us.
Practice skills set in DODD training guides/videos found on the DODD website.
Implement the Individual Service Plan (ISP) as written.
Assist individuals to know their rights, meet their goals and provide support as needed.
Assist individuals with activity daily living skills, such as, but not limited to, toileting, feeding and mobility.
Use necessary assistive devices and equipment to assist individuals' activities, if needed
Use positive techniques and respect when following behavior support strategies. Found on DODD website
Implement crisis prevention intervention techniques, as needed.
Implement activities displayed monthly calendars.
Complete daily service documentation.
Complete all required trainings as assigned
Work with individuals to promote socialization and establish relationships with peers by assisting them with desired recreational and social activities within their surrounding community.
Maintain confidentiality of information relating to individuals in accordance with HIPAA policies.
Treat individuals, families, co-workers and outside parties with respect and dignity.
Safety must be maintained of all individuals at all times
May be required to drive or provide direct service of individuals while in vans.
Required to attend staff meetings when scheduled
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalency as required by law
Must be able to pass background checks (FBI, BCII and others including nursing registry, abuse, and others)
