DSP Engineer
Direct support professional job in Oklahoma
The DSP Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and debugging advanced Sonar Systems for marine applications.
We are looking for an engineer with excellent C\/C++ and signal processing experience, who also has the ability to understand and influence key elements of the entire sonar system. This is a crucial role in the sonar team for someone who has a thirst for understanding and problem\-solving.
He\/she should be able to function within a highly talented and specialized team environment with limited supervision and is expected to coordinate with others to accomplish project tasks.
The role will allow involvement in all phases of embedded development, from initial concept development to hands\-on product testing and introduction to volume manufacture.
The successful fulfillment of this role will result in:
· Customers (internal and external) receiving products that meet and exceed their expectations in terms of functionality, cost, quality and time to market.
· Co\- workers confident that the marine group will deliver products that meet or exceed their needs and expectations.
· Marine team engineers proud of the products that they create as a team.
· Design, verify and troubleshoot sonar software, hardware and transducer systems with a focus on salt water systems.
· Requirement analysis and concept definition.
· Involvement and Influence on overall sonar system design through a broad understanding of sonar applications and principles.
· Collaboration with the wider company R&D group.
· Development of ‘best in market' product for the marine industry.
· Signal Integrity issues and Standards Compliance.
· Involvement in the planning and scheduling of R&D projects.
· Technical documentation and reporting.
· General support to production: Internal training and NPI activities by coordination with production and test engineers resulting in products being launched successfully.
· Interact with functional testers, product support engineers and other customers (internal and external) in troubleshooting and problem resolution for software development.
· Communicate openly with all team members and participate in interdisciplinary design team reviews.
· Direct less experienced engineers as part of a design team.
Minimum requirements:
· MSEE \- Master in Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent.
· 5+ years of experience in sonar development.
· 5+ years experience in C\/C++ coding and QT
· Requirement gathering, specification creation and design experience.
· Strong knowledge on Signal Integrity techniques to solve EMC\/EMI problems - experience with Standards Compliance.
· Fluent with simulation tools for design and verification.
· Strong understanding of digital signal processing, particularly related to sonar.
· Experience in technical leadership of development teams.
· Proficiency with MS Office package.
· Previous product development experience for volume production.
Desirable:
· Designed sonar systems for salt water applications.
· Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
· Communications systems experience.
· Control theory experience highly desirable.
· Willing to travel for occasional on\-the\-water training. Job Summary
The Shelter Resource Worker (SRW) reports to the Site Manager and works in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Lookout Housing and Health Society, including following Lookout's Code of Ethics. SRWs are direct service staff working within a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week emergency shelter for homeless adults who struggle with a variety of issues such as homelessness, addictions, and mental health. The SRW provides intakes, orientations, and support for guests entering the shelter. The SRW will connect with public service agencies relevant to the needs of the shelter guests.
Job Duties
Provide support, supervision, and assistance to homeless adults who may be facing multiple barriers
Accept referrals, and identify and share information with a variety of Lookout's external resources
Refer guests to a variety of community services
Interview and provide basic necessities; ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all
Complete required records and maintain statistical data
Support others in the shelter who are in need of assistance
Provide assistance for new staff
Job duties are complex and may have a few disagreeable factor
Employees are expected to remain alert and attentive during working hours. Sleeping during shifts is not permitted
Responsible for complying with and contributing to all aspects of health and safety program
Qualifications & Competence
Related Certificate; or minimum Grade 12 education, plus two (2) years of recent related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Familiarity with community resources; such as addiction, mental health, income assistance and harm reduction
Must have current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
Crisis Intervention Skills (CPI), Naloxone and Trauma Inform Practice training is an asset
Ability to work independently or in a team setting
Strong ability to manage stress and organize workload
Excellent communication, writing, documentation, and organizational skills
Understands and maintains clientele/worker boundaries
Ability to work with disadvantaged and challenging adults in a diverse environment

Work Schedule

2nd Shift 3:00pm to 11:00pm
3rd Shift 11:00pm to 7:00am
Typical Functions
* Provides security and supervision to adjudicated residents in a variety of situations and activities.
* Performs routine duties in care, custody, education, and treatment of residents; observes, records, and reports health symptoms, behavior, and activity of residents.
* Manages aggressive and non-aggressive behavior through verbal and physical intervention using prescribed and approved techniques; quickly responds to physical assaults, riots, and other emergency situations.
* Conducts count of residents and enforces institutional rules and regulations; observes resident and staff activities on multiple surveillance monitor screens.
* Provides paraprofessional counseling and instruction to residents by directing their daily activities, maintaining order, providing support, and helping them develop and achieve personal goals; serves on a treatment team to review residents' progress, treatment and educational plans; serves as a group leader by reviewing and assessing the adjustment and functioning of a group of residents.
* Inspects the facility's living areas and work locations to ensure health and safety standards are being met, conducts searches for unauthorized objects, materials, and contraband; maintains security in an assigned area or post; controls movement of residents to and from living quarters for activities and off-campus appointments; maintains order and discipline during programs, meals, and recreation periods by utilizing empathic verbal communication skills.
* Patrols facility grounds, juvenile living quarters and work areas on an assigned shift while observing the activities and movements of residents; checks authorized persons in or out of buildings and grounds area while assuring unauthorized persons are denied access.
* Checks the physical security of the facility, including doors, windows, and lighting.
* Completes written and/or typed reports on a variety of incidents and residents' behaviors; sends and receives verbal transmissions over a hand-held radio; maintains a written log of daily facility activities; communicates by telephone with emergency responder agencies in crisis situations.
* Provide safe and secure transport services for OJA custody youth to and from placement, juvenile detention centers, court hearings, and various other appointments such as medical, dental and mental health evaluations.
* Will have responsibility for GPS monitoring, tracking, inventory and documentation in assigned areas.
* Other high risk transportation duties as assigned and specified through the Performance Management Process (PMP).
* Assists other OJA employees as needed/other duties as assigned.

Typical Functions
Provides security and supervision to adjudicated residents in a variety of situations and activities.

Inspects the facility's living areas and work locations to ensure health and safety standards are being met, conducts searches for unauthorized objects, materials, and contraband; maintains security in an assigned area or post; controls movement of residents to and from living quarters for activities and off-campus appointments; maintains order and discipline during programs, meals, and recreation periods by utilizing empathic verbal communication skills.
Patrols facility grounds, juvenile living quarters and work areas on an assigned shift while observing the activities and movements of residents; checks authorized persons in or out of buildings and grounds area while assuring unauthorized persons are denied access.
Checks the physical security of the facility, including doors, windows, and lighting.
Completes written and/or typed reports on a variety of incidents and residents' behaviors; sends and receives verbal transmissions over a hand-held radio; maintains a written log of daily facility activities; communicates by telephone with emergency responder agencies in crisis situations.
Provide safe and secure transport services for OJA custody youth to and from placement, juvenile detention centers, court hearings, and various other appointments such as medical, dental and mental health evaluations.
Will have responsibility for GPS monitoring, tracking, inventory and documentation in assigned areas.
Other high risk transportation duties as assigned and specified through the Performance Management Process (PMP).
Assists other OJA employees as needed/other duties as assigned.

Special Requirements

The primary function of ACT Teams is to help reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and incarcerations, by providing individuals the resources essential to thrive and maintain independence in their natural environment.
POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a strong working knowledge of the core ACT principles and ensure clinical practices reflect a high standard of model fidelity.
Attend and participate in daily organizational meetings and weekly treatment team meetings with multi-disciplinary team, utilizing a team approach in working with ACT clients.
Provide routine medication delivery and support to clients in community.
Promote healthy lifestyles, including general wellness education and information specific to chronic medical conditions.

Demonstrate comfort and flexibility while working with clients in difficult life circumstances, which may include individuals, who are homeless or living in substandard conditions.
Coordinate with community partners to ensure continuity of care and advocate for client needs. Example of community partners include: housing providers, inpatient hospital staff, shelter staff, and law enforcement.
Must have a strong commitment to the rights and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness. Skills to establish supportive, trusting relationships and respect for client preferences in treatment are essential.
QUALIFICATIONS: Peer Recovery Support Specialists are required to have a High School diploma or equivalent. In addition, candidates must have personal experience as a recipient of mental health services and be active in recovery from mental illness or substance use. Candidates are expected to utilize expertise gained from personal recovery to assist clients in their own path of recovery. Candidates must have PRSS certification or obtain PRSS certification from ODMH within first 60 days of employment. Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record; use of personal automobile will be required for travel to locations outside of primary office.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Office and field based services with regular transportation of clients with case managers using agency or personal vehicles
Provide a variety of services for identified needs including but not limited to:
Teach and mentor the value of every individual's recovery experience individually and in a group setting
Model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies
Proactively engage clients in services
Possess communication skills to teach new concepts and ideas to others
Assist in setting up and sustaining self-help (mutual support) groups
Support clients in using a WRAP - Wellness Recovery Action Plan or Psychiatric Advanced Directive
Assist in building social skills in the community that will enhance quality of life
Support the development of natural support systems
Possess knowledge about various mental health settings and community resources (i.e. local shelter, housing, food pantry, vocational resources, and other homeless resources)
Provide services in-person or via telehealth platforms
Services range in intensity from monthly contact to weekly/daily contact
Embed outreach and other services in alternate locations and with community providers to reduce barriers to access
Work with clients with active mental health symptoms and within their treatment preferences
Meet clients where they are in the community, including homeless shelters, private homes, or outdoors, promoting confidentiality in all settings
Demonstrate comfort and flexibility while working with clients in difficult life circumstances, which may include individuals living in substandard conditions
Gather and complete all CCBHC data metrics for homeless population served
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum one-year participation in local or national consumer advocacy or knowledge in the area of mental health recovery. Must possess a driver's license and use of personal automobile for travel. Will transport clients in personal automobile.
Preference may be given to applicants who are current or former consumers of mental health services.
