What You Will Do at Cambia: Develops, coordinates, and drives risk adjustment education initiatives with network providers and acts as primary point of contact for assigned key provider engagements across Commercial and Medicare lines of business Coordinate outreach, communication, training, and education for providers that have been identified through various operational reporting channels as a candidate for provider education engagement Works with key leaders within the provider organization to engage with and drive successful performance of the provider engagement. Assists senior leadership with special projects related to advancing Cambia's value based and innovative provider relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Medical Providers are responsible for preserving the integrity of the Camas Health Recovery Center properties by performing the following duties: Ensure implementation of all clinic policies and procedures; recommend policy and procedure updates and changes as necessary. Ensure timely and complete documentation of treatment records, medication security, and any other documentation required by federal, state, and local agencies. Ensure that the clinic protects the rights and confidentiality of all patients. Conduct intake medical assessment and diagnosis and determine initial medication choice and dose. Conduct patient dose evaluations and change medications as indicated. Conduct thorough physical examinations and make appropriate recommendations for follow-up. Document findings and decision-making about care in electronic health record Maintain timely and appropriate communication and attend meetings as requested. Facilitate appropriate communication and referrals with outside medical providers for needed care and follow-up. Evaluate, as necessary, patients with urgent or emergent medical needs and determine if further medical assistance is necessary. Write medical orders for all take-home privileges, seeking regulatory exceptions as necessary. Comply with other ad hoc requests and projects as assigned. Maintain a strong policy knowledge of and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws and regulations regarding Opioid Treatment Programs Maintain knowledge of and compliance with CFR-related privacy principles and HIPAA policies and procedures Participate in federal and state substance use disorder training and continuing education as needed to safely and effectively perform in the position. Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the clinic's mission and commitment to patient experience. Education & Licensure Requirements Nurse Practitioners shall be certified and licensed as a nurse practitioner in the state of Washington. All Medical Providers must have Schedule II - V prescriptive authority from the State of Washington. Experience At least one year of experience treating substance use disorders is desired. Experience in treating opioid use disorder is preferred. Experience working within an Opioid Treatment Program will be given hiring preference. DATA waiver for prescription of buprenorphine is desired but not required. Applicants should have experience in, comfort with, and desire for working with patients with substance use disorders, behavioral health diagnoses, and socioeconomic challenges, as well as a basic knowledge of the properties and side effects of opioid use disorder treatment medications and other substances used by our population.
