Meal Support: Assist with meal service, teach dining skills, and promote social skills and personal dignity during meals.
Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
Primary Person (P2): Be assigned as a Primary Person (P2) for one or more individuals, ensuring their well-being at all times.
Training and Development: Attend and successfully complete in-service training sessions to enhance your skills.
Mentorship: Serve as a role model and mentor to fellow DirectSupport Professionals.
Record Keeping: Complete data collection, observation notes, and daily reports as per agency policy and procedure.
Transportation: Assist individuals in transportation as needed.
Team Collaboration: Participate as a member of the Individual Support Team, providing valuable input toward individuals' ISPs.
Safety: Monitor individuals' activities to ensure safety and health care practices are observed, including Universal Precaution Practices.
House Operations: Participate in and may be responsible for daily house operations, such as grocery shopping, overseeing consumers' money, monitoring the physical plant, and van maintenance.
Dignity and Empowerment: Treat individuals with dignity and respect, promoting independence and choice.
Qualifications:
A high school education or its equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience in supporting and assisting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
A valid driver's license and a good driving record are preferred.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Satisfactory completion of criminal background checks as required by federal and/or state laws and any other post-offer, pre-employment screenings as mandated by a governing agency or the company.

CLW provides day-hab and vocational services to adults with developmental disabilities in a day program setting. CLW DirectSupport Professionals - DSPs do not work weekends and are not on call! You will never be forced to work over!
We are looking for highly motivated DirectSupport Professionals - DSPs for full-time, day shift positions (M-F) at our Springfield, Ohio location to assist individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on quality care and daily activities, day-hab and vocational services. As a DirectSupport Professional - DSP you will be responsible for working with a team to ensure the health & safety of our developmentally disabled clients. Requirements for a DirectSupport Professional - DSP:
Prior experience working with individuals w/ developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required. We will train you! All you really need is a compassionate heart and the willingness to learn.
Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug test
Must be able to pass criminal background requirements
May
be required to attend applicable medication administration courses, if requirements are met, to become certified to administer medications and complete health related activities based upon site and participant assignment needs at the direction of the delegating nurse.

Prepare and set-up of all menu items according to standards.
Accurately service hot and cold food items, condiments, utensils, etc., onto trays on a moving tray line according to tray tickets and menu spread sheets.
Restocks cafeteria of other areas with food and supplies in a courteous, timely manner.
Serve meals to residents in a courteous, timely manner.
Scrape dirty trays and dishes and the loading and unloading of the dish machine.
Hand wash pots and pans, and other designated items.
Maintain the kitchen facilities in a sanitary manner including floors, walls, all equipment, and utensils.
Safely handles a variety of chemicals and educates employees about the same.
Assists in kitchen where needed.
Ensures that a clean and safe environment is maintained.
Communicates and cooperates with dietary personnel and other departments.
Maintains resident rights and confidentiality.
Interacts positively with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors under a variety of conditions and circumstances.
Follows Universal precautions and Infection Control techniques.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience: 0-2 years in food service within a Long-Term Care environment preferred
