Hayden Tower Service is seeking a qualified experienced directional driller. 1-2 years' directional drilling experience, preferred, in the safe operation and basic maintenance of Vermeer products.
Job Function
- Work on horizontal directional drilling projects of all sizes.
- Pre-walk and white line projects.
- Load, unload and transport construction materials, machines and tools.
- Safely and efficiently operate tools and equipment based on job requirements.
- Verify location of existing utilities and adjust route as necessary based on job specifications and easement requirements.
- Ability to determine proper drilling fluid additives for specific soil types and conditions. Assist with job site clean-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to work as a team with others and assist in training new hires.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to travel weekly, up to two weeks or more at a time
- Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment
- Education in Gas and/or Utilities Construction (preferred)
- Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables (preferred)
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. regularly
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
