Job Summary:The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and support of IT Infrastructure; this encompasses physical and virtual servers, networking, storage, operating systems, collaboration, directory services, mobile platforms, End User support, and cloud services across the enterprise. This position is also responsible for following audit regulations regarding SOX and general controls, and the team's growth, performance, and individual team member development.

Primary Responsibilities:

Employment Status: Administrative

Description of Key Responsibility:

1. Build and communicate the operational and strategic infrastructure plan. With the CIO align the ITS goals and objectives with the College's strategic plan.

2. Develop, plan, test and document the Disaster Recovery Plan. Assist in building, planning, testing and documenting the College's Business Continuity Plan.

3. Maintain, enhance and ensure the availability and scalability of critical technology infrastructure.

4. Conduct meetings with key stakeholders to validate understanding of goals, define success metrics/criteria, and communicate strategy. Partner with business and technology subject matter experts to elicit and translate College requirements into technological solutions.

5. Collaborate across departments, divisions and the College to identify innovative uses of technology to meet strategic and operational goals.

6. Define, create and communicate project plans for technology infrastructure projects, portfolios, and product prioritization and implementation.

7. Understand cyber and physical security and identify/implement security controls needed to protect College assets.

8. Direct the activities of the network engineers and system administrators.

Position Summary:

To manage and lead technology infrastructure in order to support the needs of the College, the Director of Technology Infrastructure will develop and direct operational plans for the network, email, servers, computers, labs and telecommunications; as well as work very closely with the Help Desk team.
