Monitor project progress and performance and implement corrective action plans as needed. Apply specialized technical expertise on a broad range of construction projects relating to roadway construction, water main, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer primarily for the MDOT and municipal clients. Interact with other disciplines (design and survey). Provide direction, supervision, technical guidance and support to junior staff. JOB REQUIREMENTS We are seeking forward-thinking, safety-conscious, and energetic individuals who are excited to work on both small-scale and large-scale projects. Qualifications include: A solid understanding and familiarity of MDOT construction requirements, local standards, agency permitting requirements, and MDOT Local Agency Program requirements. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Minimum of 10 years experience. Michigan Professional Engineer License. Experience with road construction, bridge construction, storm sewer construction, sanitary sewer construction and water main construction. Experience with a wide range of construction projects for both municipal clients and MDOT. Understanding SESC reporting requirements. Experience with AASHTO ware, project wise and other construction management software. Ability to manage a project schedule, budget and project team. Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical/judgement capabilities, and ability to work independently or on a team. Able to communicate effectively to the team, client and contractors. Excellent documentation skills. Ability to work remote and in person effectively. Must be able to train less experienced staff and be a team player.
