**Job Description**
The Global Employee Relations & HR Compliance Team supports Western Digital ensuring consistency and reducing compliance risks in our employment practices and policies worldwide. This team partners closely with the regional people solutions representatives, HR Centers of Excellence, Ethics and Compliance and Employment Law to review and advise on matters of policy, country compliance and investigations.
We are looking for a highly collaborative, strategic problem solver with deep compliance experience and technical expertise. This is a great opportunity for a builder who is looking to set up an HR Compliance function to scale in a rapidly evolving business.
As the Senior Manager of Global HR Compliance, you will build our new HR Compliance function from the ground up, identifying compliance and policy opportunities, organizing cross-functional teams around compliance related projects and initiatives and defining our HR compliance roadmap. The Senior Manager will help build a forward-thinking team that proactively identifies and acts in areas of opportunity. You will work cross-functionally to bring deep subject matter expertise to people processes, programs and policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Conduct a gap analysis to identify policy and compliance risks
+ Develop, write and implement some HR policies and partner cross-functionally with COEs and other policy owners to ensure compliance with federal and local laws
+ Partner with Legal and COEs as needed to ensure policy alignment with local laws
+ Develop policy governance model and ensure all policy related documents are up to date and centrally located
+ Drive HR compliance related initiatives including but not limited to OFCCP, GSR, Time & Attendance, Gender Pay Gap Reporting, all US and country specific compliance reporting, compliance training requirements, etc.
+ Manager HR Compliance focused training and development
+ Support country HR teams in project managing local audits, etc.

**Qualifications**

+ 10+ years of experience in HumanResources

The HumanResources Generalist will have administrative, analytical, and communication skills. An HR generalist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with organizational conflict management skills and will help with essential functions such as staffing, compensation administration, job analysis, performance management, and assisting the Director of HumanResources with special projects.
Essential Functions
* Collaborate with all departments across the Tribe to identify budgeted personnel needs and then develop detailed and compliant s

* Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and s for all positions according to HR objectives
* Provide employee relations support for employees and managers, including resolving issues to foster positive employer-employee relationships
* Recommend and develop employee relations practices that foster a positive work environment
* Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data
* Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable humanresources federal and state requirements and conducting investigations
* Facilitate scheduled performance review process, providing guidance, tools, and training for managers and employees
* Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies, and TERO ordinance

Qualifications
Education
* Associate's Degree in Business administration, Labor Relations, or similar field
Experience
* Five (5) years of experience in HumanResources is required

* Efficient HR administration and people management skills
* Deep understanding of Labor Laws and employment equity regulations

What You'll Do:
Manage various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.
Help ensure efficient and effective operations of the HumanResources Department.
Provide onboarding of new staff, including communicating with new hires to complete all necessary onboarding documentation, and scheduling and facilitating new hire orientation.
Enter employee data and update employee changes in our HRIS system.
Support the timely completion of employee evaluations through tracking, notification and reminders to SVT employees and supervisors.
Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
Acts as a liaison between SVT and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, and retirement plan providers.
Gather and organize data, files and materials to assist the HR Director with complete reports for the Seldovia Tribal Council, granting agency site visits, and other entities as assigned.
Create and maintain clinic administrative files (paper and digital).
Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately, including updating benefits programs with merit increases.
Maintain and update SVT intranet and/or MCN (Policy Manager). Manage and post files, forms, policies, calendars, and all other materials kept on the intranet and communicate information on intranet/server access to all employees.
Coordinate travel arrangements for on-site interviewees and other individuals as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Minimum of one year prior work experience in a HumanResources role is required.
