Responsibilities
Shape and execute the strategy for Neudesic's Application Innovation and AI Engineering practice.
Design and as needed, lead, complex client solutions and engagements focused on AI-enabled modernization, intelligent application design, and digital transformation.
Architect and deliver AI-first solutions that combine modern software engineering, cloud scalability, and generative intelligence.
Partner with Microsoft and internal Neudesic/IBM teams to align with joint go-to-market and innovation initiatives in AI and Cloud.
Coach and mentor consultants and architects on modern engineering practices, responsible AI, GitHub Copilot adoption, and agentic AI patterns (RAG, orchestration, reasoning, etc.).
Engage in executive-level discussions to define modernization roadmaps and AI strategy aligned to business outcomes.
Contribute to thought leadership and reusable accelerators (e.g., Neudesic's Nexus, DIP, Kinisi, Ploceus, and AI Foundry solutions).
Oversee project delivery excellence, ensure adherence to engineering best practices, and drive continuous improvement across distributed teams.
Qualifications
Proven success as a consulting leader or director driving modern cloud and software engineering initiatives.
Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, including PaaS services, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, and Azure Machine Learning.
Strong understanding of AI Engineering principles-data preparation, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, model fine-tuning, and agentic orchestration.
Mastery of software architecture patterns including event-driven, microservices, domain-driven design (DDD), and API-first.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional delivery teams and partnering with product, data, and AI specialists to deliver measurable outcomes.

Position Summary
The Associate Director, Program Management plays an integral role in advancing AskBio's gene therapy products through clinical development. They will provide comprehensive program management and operational support for the Integrated Product Team (IPT), including creation and maintenance of integrated, end-to-end development plans and timelines. This role partners with the IPT Lead to ensure the program team has clear direction and alignment to execute critical activities ranging from pre-clinical (IND-enabling) studies up through BLA submission (e.g., CMC, regulatory, clinical, medical).

Job Responsibilities
In partnership with the IPT Lead, define scope, objectives, and deliverables for product candidates in stages of clinical development
Create and maintain integrated development plans that accurately capture timelines, decision points (i.e., stage gates), resource needs, and budget for multiple clinical programs
Track and coordinate critical activities required to advance programs into early-stage and/or registrational clinical studies
Provide general operational support to the IPT, including risk identification/mitigation, problem-solving, communication, and contingency planning
In partnership with IPT lead, ensure the team is prepared for stage-gates and governance interactions, including content development, stakeholder management, and pre-reads
Deliver timely updates to key functional stakeholders, leadership, and governance boards covering program status, risks/mitigation, scope changes, etc.

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Tax
Coordinate all aspects of U.S. federal, state, and local corporate income tax compliance, including return preparation, filing, and estimated payments.
Manage global tax compliance and support international expansion efforts (e.g., VAT, local corporate tax filings).
Manage tax provisions (ASC 740) and reporting for financial statement audits.
Oversee state franchise tax filings and payments, ensuring timely and accurate compliance across all relevant jurisdictions.

Partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate data collection and timely filing of tax forms.
Monitor and implement changes in tax information reporting regulations (IRS, DAC8, CARF, etc.) relevant to digital assets.
Serve as the SME for platform tax reporting questions and work cross-functionally with Client Relations to improve tax documentation and user communications.
Support system and process development and remediation initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and improve processes.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., tax engines, reporting providers).
Requirements
10+ years of experience working at a public accounting firm or equivalent experience at a financial services or fintech company.
Direct experience with crypto / stablecoins at a crypto-native company or fintech, a plus.
Experience with end-to-end tax reporting for digital assets and extensive knowledge of tax information reporting regulations in multiple jurisdictions, including the U.S. and Europe.
Experience preparing and reviewing accurate federal, state and local tax returns, and technical knowledge of income tax accounting (ASC 740).

Key Responsibilities
Business Systems Management
Lead and mentor the Business Systems Applications team, including internal staff and external partners supporting SAP ERP, CamStar MES, Oracle Agile PLM, and related environments.

Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, and support contracts for enterprise applications.

About This Role:
Axsome Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, IT SOX Compliance who will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of our critical IT systems and data supporting our financial operations.
