Be the Pharmacy Director You've Always Strived to Be
Convey the mission of the hospital and organization to pharmacy staff, holding them accountable for performance, while motivating them to enhance and develop their capabilities.
Oversee the pharmacy department's operations, including scheduling, continuous assessment, and the implementation of process improvements to optimize department performance.
Provide direct patient and pharmaceutical care.
Demonstrate and maintain competence in clinical health system pharmacy practices, including antimicrobial stewardship, non-sterile and sterile drug preparation, controlled substances, hospital pharmacy accreditation, anticoagulation drug therapy management, and medication safety.
Educate staff on pharmaceutical care and medication management, ensuring the pharmacy consistently complies with local, state, and national regulations.
Stay current with new medications, indications, and evidence-based medicine. Collaborate with the Controller to prepare and manage departmental budgets for staffing, drugs, and supplies.
Actively serve and lead various hospital committees, including Quality Assurance, Formulary, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, MEC, and Safety, as needed.

Qualifications
Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board for the state where the hospital is located.
Successful completion of a degree from an accredited pharmacy program or one recognized as substantially equivalent to a U.S. accredited program by an appropriate certifying agency.
A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and or night shifts.
May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.

Job Summary:

Assist in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs
Work with appropriate pharmacy technician in reconciling Controlled Substances perpetual inventory as required by management for compliance with state and federal regulations
Provide clinical expertise by responding to drug-related questions and concerns initiated by internal staff and external customers
Document all communication with physicians, nurses, other members of the healthcare team and patients/residents and their family members in the medical record
Preparation and/or supervision of all sterile IV drug products or solutions
Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during rotation and as required by management
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA

You will manage a team of inventory clerks and certified pharmacy technicians. The Inventory department receives, stores and replenishes prescription medications throughout our facility.
The Supervisor, Mail Order/OTC Pharmacy Distribution processes and dispenses or directly supports the processing and dispensing of Traditional prescription orders to be mailed to patients' homes and handles complex and/or escalated issues. The Supervisor, Mail Order/OTC Pharmacy Distribution works within thorough, prescribed guidelines and procedures, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems, and collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach.
Location: This is an onsite role. 9843 Windisch Rd | West Chester, OH 45069
Shift: 8:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Friday. Occasional overtime as needed.
The Supervisor, Mail Order/OTC Pharmacy Distribution:
* Leads a team of inventory clerks and pharmacy technicians as they receive, store, and replenish medication throughout the facility.
* Works with other Supervisors in the Inventory, Packing, and Dispensing departments to resolve problems relating to department processes.
* Analyzes distribution and supports pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
* Assists Pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing directly or through program/process development.
* Complies with all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Performs escalated or more complex work of a similar nature, supervises a group of support and technical associates, and coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to associates.
* Ensures consistency in execution across team.
* Holds team members accountable for following established policies. This includes holding monthly 1x1 sessions with each direct report and maintaining staffing

Required Qualifications
* Previous leadership experience in any environment OR team lead/ leadership duties in a warehouse environment
* Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
* Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Software (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
* Ability to learn Internal computer-based processing systems (Elite Inventory Management, E-Post, QMSI)
* Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.

* National Certification, PTCB CphT with an active registration
* Pharmacy Technician license with the Board of Pharmacy in Ohio
* Previous supervisory experience

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

The salary range for this position is: $155,000 - $410,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
