We are looking for someone in this role to support the industry's tremendous demand of our pharmacy and supply chain solutions. Manages and is responsible for all aspects of pharmaceutical care and all contracted and outpatient pharmacy services. The director is the pharmacist of record with the Board of Pharmacy for the State of Florida. This includes, but is not limited to, all professional and technical aspects of departmental operations. These operations include clinical practice as well as medication use and delivery systems to ensure safe, progressive, state-of-the-art operations. In conjunction with the operations manager and clinical coordinator, the director is responsible for the management of the patient care unit based pharmacists. The director shall be skilled in developing standards of practice for screening of all age, dosage and disease dependent variations (i.e. geriatrics and pediatrics) and for operations of the Department of Pharmacy. The director plans, organizes and coordinates all aspects of pharmaceutical care. To accomplish this, the director uses established standards of care set forth by professional organizations including ASHP and JCAHO. The director will assure that the formulary is maintained and that a safe, efficient, and reliable drug distribution system is in place and that all ethical standards are maintained.
Qualifications

Education

Required: Pharm. D. or BS in pharmacy

Preferred: Master's Degree in Pharmacy or related areas

Experience

Five (5) years experience in responsible growth orientated management position in health care facility.

Certifications

Florida Pharmacist License, Florida Consultant Pharmacist License

Other Qualifications

Supervisory experience required

Complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
