About the role
The Medical Director provides clinical supervision, medical oversight, and quality leadership for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) delivering SUD care across hospital consultation and outpatient clinic settings. Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
Provide supervising physician coverage for APPs delivering SUD care in both hospital consult and outpatient clinic settings.
Offer clinical oversight for comprehensive SUD treatment, including the prescribing and supervision of medication-based addiction treatment (MAT) across substances.
Serve as a clinical escalation point for complex cases, diagnostic uncertainty, safety concerns, and treatment planning challenges.
Reinforce ethical, patient-centered, and outcomes-driven clinical practice consistent with Steadfast values.
APP Supervision & Support
Provide ongoing clinical supervision to APPs practicing at varying levels of experience and scope.
Review clinical documentation and provide required co-signatures in accordance with Ohio regulatory requirements.
Prescribe controlled medications when needed due to APP panel capacity, scope limitations, or pharmacy requirements.
Be available for virtual “co-visits” with APPs for new, high-risk, or complex patient cases.
Provide case-by-case clinical guidance via phone or secure messaging to support timely decision-making.
Conduct monthly 1:1 supervision meetings with APPs, including clinical feedback, case review, and targeted clinical education.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure clinical care aligns with Ohio state regulations, DEA requirements, and applicable federal standards.
Partner with the CCO and medical operations leaders on quality assurance, peer review, and risk management activities.
Support the development and continuous improvement of clinical protocols, workflows, and supervision structures.

DYS is seeking an enthusiastic Administrator to serve as the
Medical Director
(Physician Administrator 3) for the agency to include three juvenile correctional facilities. The position will be based in our downtown Columbus office but may require travel to our facilities and regional locations, as needed.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Development of policy and procedure for all medical services.
Formulates recommendations and plans to improve delivery and quality of integrated medical services.
Advises DYS Superintendents and other officials on relevant medical services for the youth.
On call 24/7 for medical advice/crisis.
Assists with development and assures implementation of health care programs for DYS youth.
Evaluates medical care being delivered to youth through the quality assurance program to identify opportunities for improvement.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field required. Current, unencumbered clinical, social work, or counseling license required by state regulations. Additional requirements include:

Summary
The Director of Clinic Operations is a senior administrative staff member responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic management of all clinical activities within the dental college. This individual ensures that clinical services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the academic and patient care missions of the institution. Working in close collaboration with faculty, staff and students, the Director ensures regulatory compliance, optimal patient care, and support for student clinical education.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Staff Supervision and Training: Oversee day-to-day operations of predoctoral and postgraduate dental clinics. Ensure timely and efficient patient flow, clinic scheduling, and clinical resource allocation. Manage patient intake systems, electronic health records (EHR), and case assignment processes. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clinic operations. Supervise clinical support staff (e.g., dental assistants, front desk personnel, sterilization technicians). Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development of clinic staff. Foster a positive, patient-centered, and student-supportive work environment.
Administrative and Financial Oversight: Assist in the development and management of clinic budgets, including revenues, expenditures, and capital improvements. Oversee inventory, ordering, and maintenance of clinical supplies and equipment. Monitor billing practices and coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate reimbursement and patient billing.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with faculty, department chairs, and course directors to support clinical education. Liaise with IT, facilities, and external vendors as needed to maintain clinic infrastructure. Serve as a key member of the Clinical Affairs Committee and other relevant college committees.

Qualifications
