This role manages growing teams of IT professionals to deliver and support solutions in direct support of the Sales and Marketing organizations. The position also has the primary business relationship with business executives and sets strategic technology direction in collaboration with enterprise architecture, and partners with the broader technology organization to ensure service excellence to business constituents.

The Director of Sales and Marketing Systems must have experience in managing multiple teams delivering high value solutions and supporting multiple systems requiring high availability. This role will oversee teams focused on Sales and Marketing technologies, including Sales Force Automation, Customer Relationship Management, Pricing & Quoting, Marketing campaigns and Corporate Communications. The evolving business environment requires a senior-level manager with influencing skills and experience as a change leader.

The Director should be proficient in: team building, vendor management, crafting a strategic technology investment roadmap, partnering with business leaders to assess needs and manage expectations for solution delivery, introducing quality practices to ensure customer satisfaction, implementing tools and process to provide excellent systems support, and collaborating with various technology groups to optimize delivery and support results. Experience with Agile techniques such as Scrum and DevOps is preferred.

(Though we are currently working remote due to Covid, this position will be based in the Mundelein corporate office once we return to the office. The Director will be expected to work from the Mundelein office 3 days per week, and may work from home or from the office the other 2 days).
Responsibilities:

* Build and manage a world class team of business analysts and software engineers to deliver best in class sales experience for Medline's customers and its sales representatives
* Ensure the availability, reliability and security of sales systems
* Support robust change and configuration management practices
* Manage service integrator and other technology vendor relationships
* Develop business cases, justifications and cost-benefit analysis for IS spend
* Collaborate with architecture team in devising the best architecture and designs including an emphasis on web services, reusable business functions, frameworks and methodologies
* Manage programs and projects portfolio to ensure timely and successful delivery
* Make technology decisions related to the sales environment
* Establish guiding principles and ensure the architecture validity to support business functions and future growth
* Create an agile work environment to deliver programs while balancing time, cost and scope
* Work with internal business users including: Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Corporate Communications, and Finance to continually refine Medline's Sales and Marketing roadmaps as well as provide a world class platform for realizing this roadmap
* Develop integrated processes across all sales development functions and collaborate with peers on process for overall development processes
* Research and recommend investment, development, installation, and use of technology improvements
* Mentor and develop team members to enable personal and professional development
* Assess and address team skill and knowledge gaps to ensure the teams consistently have the knowledge, skills and experience to execute Medline's sales roadmap
* Respond to business critical emergency situations related to support of the sales platforms
* Oversee the development and maintenance of technical and process documentation
* Provide oversight for team and project managers relative to developing and managing resource plans
* Oversight and guidance relative to staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions

Qualifications:

* BS in Computer Science or related; or equivalent technical experience
* 5 years of demonstrated successful experience managing design/development teams through full development lifecycle
* 3 years of demonstrated successful experience managing Managers
* Experience transforming systems/platforms for high availability
* Experience directing both onshore and offshore teams
* Solid understanding of application lifecycles
* Solid understanding of diverse application development practices (including both waterfall and agile methodologies)
* Basic understanding of financial and revenue models
* Sales and Marketing systems experience a plus
* Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills

Join and lead the pre-opening team for a new Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants property! Slated to open in 2022, this property will be a new build, 230-key hotel that will be part of a larger mixed-use development in Midtown Atlanta close to the Arts District. The hotel will include a restaurant/bar on the ground level, and a mezzanine lounge bar, almost 5200 SF of meeting space, and a Fitness Center. The larger development includes 600,000 SF Class A Office Space, 355 apartments and ground floor retail.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll use your knowledge of regional trends, actively respond to financial performance, provide strategic direction for the sales teams, and ensure achievement of Kimpton's short and long term goals. Direct and lead your team to achieve budgeted top-line revenues. Accountable for Sales and Marketing budget to assure appropriate spend. Act as the hotel ambassador by establishing relationships with the community to increase the hotel's exposure. Work tactically with the Director of Revenue Management (DORM), Digital Marketing, and Public Relations teams to ensure a strategically symbolic relationship between all disciplines.

Some of your responsibilities include:

+ Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to the sales team, continually assessing their strengths and challenges.

+ Ensure that accurate and detailed notes/traces of accounts are maintained via Opera and Delphi databases.

+ Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration or Business preferred.
