How you'll contribute A Director of Outpatient Services who excels in this role: * Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. * Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. * Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. * Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. * Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. * Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols. * Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. What we're looking for Applicants should have a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field required. Current, unencumbered clinical, social work, or counseling license required by state regulations. Additional requirements include: * CPR and de-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire * Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives. * Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others. * Provides and sets goals and priorities for functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices, and programs. Makes decisions for and/or resolves problems for others. * Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
