The Director of Production oversees the team that is responsible for all physical production manufacturing, quality control, budgeting, strategizing and scheduling. This role requires active management of individual production projects as well as managing the team. Being able to negotiate production costs and work effectively with local and global factories for production is key to the role. They communicate cross-functionally between the Logistics, Accounting, Project Management Office, Art and Game Development.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE: Develop and champion the strategic operations of the Production Department's goals that align with the company's short and long-term goals Manage individual production runs while maintaining the role of DirectorIdentify current and future risks and potential challenges to growth Create and implement a plan to manage identified risks Manage, coach, delegate, and lead Production Managers and Production Coordinators to ensure operations flow smoothly, instructions are provided accordingly, and the team is set up for success Assess and reorganize the team or functional tasks to optimize and build scale Create templates and manage production-related project management systems Develop an internal resource strategy for new and existing products Maintain, create and nurture strong relationships with manufacturers that allow the company to meet deadlines and reduce cost of goods Manage the production budget, constantly looking for solutions to optimize the production processes, and keeping budgets at or below forecast for individual projects and departmental Collaborate and serve as point of contact by attending meetings and tracking all products in development and production while improving controls that impact production Manage implementation or rollout of new processes, tools, procedures, documentation, and information systems for the department Ensure company goals are communicated and implemented in every project (cost, quality, etc)

Minimum qualifications:

+ Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience

+ 15 years of experience in Foundry and OSAT extended workforce manufacturing supply chain management and contracting

Preferred qualifications:

+ MBA

+ 10 years of experience in supply chain management, managing foundry and OSAT suppliers for a fabless semiconductor company, and/or experience in managing fabless customer accounts at a foundry

+ Experience in complex discussions and agreements, IP licensing, and specialized agreement structures

+ Excellent executive presence in managing suppliers with outstanding communication and presentation capability for an executive audience

The Custom Silicon team is responsible for all external manufacturing engagement and supplier management for the foundry and extended workforce manufacturing partners for building custom silicon for Google products. The organization is responsible for providing proactive, agile, high quality, and cost effective external manufacturing technology and manufacturing solutions to enable Google to deliver product introduction and ramp on time to meet business growth goals. This includes foundry/OSAT sourcing, supplier management, planning and procurement, and execution of development and manufacturing operations, with our suppliers in partnership with Google Business Unit Engineering. It also includes strategy development and orchestration with key stakeholders to shape the supply ecosystem for better partnership, capacity flexibility, high quality, business continuity, and cost effectiveness.

As the Director, Silicon Sourcing and Supplier Management, you will be responsible for proactively shaping supplier capacity, supply flexibility, and supplier management of deliverables to meet Google's product development, manufacturing, and sustaining milestones. Your responsibilities include supplier management of product deliverables advocated by the business unit partners, supply planning, and improvements to meet demand, capacity reservations, alternate sourcing programs for business continuity and flexibility, managing voice of the supplier and Google's engagement improvements to get better partnership with our supply base. It also includes being the point of contact to the supplier for all official communications representing priorities for multiple business units.

The Director, Sourcing Delivery for the Technology & Outsourcing Category is an important role within The Hartford's Global Procurement Team responsible for supporting the end-to-end contracting activities in accordance with category strategies set by the Category Manager for Technology & Outsourcing.

Reporting to the AVP, Category Management, the Director, Sourcing Delivery is accountable for executing high complexity procurement activities including contracts and related activities (i.e., approvals and savings submissions, etc.), for Technology & Outsourcing. This role will work closely with the Technology & Outsourcing Category Managers in addition to Information Technology Leadership, Business and Stakeholders to ensure the effective execution of assigned sourcing and contracting initiatives that support Technology & Outsourcing business goals.
This position is based in our Hartford, CT office; other locations may also be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drafts, reviews, and negotiates statements of work, change orders, amendments, and similar contractual documents on complex contracts Acts as the primary contact between the Category Management team, Business Units, and Legal, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly Drive continuous improvement by developing and promoting negotiation concepts and RFx best practice Act as a change agent facilitating the optimum appropriate application of relevant tools, processes, and approaches Guide, coach, and support all procurement functions with negotiation and RFx best practices and advanced methodologies and concepts Provide varying levels of support across low and medium complexity cases, depending on need Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met
Responsible for escalation of contractual or commercial issues to the leadership team, especially issues that are not solved satisfactorily by the project team in a timely manner Provide leadership for internal Procurement process improvement initiatives Develop and implement standards operating procedures for Contracting and Sourcing activities

Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience in sourcing and negotiating agreements within the relevant category in a large, highly matrixed company including significant experience and expertise leading strategic sourcing process Experience with complex IT, network, software, cloud, data storage, managed services or business process outsourcing agreements Ability to identify and lead process improvement opportunities The ability to meet deliverables on time and work in an evolving and growing environment that is prone to changes Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Deep knowledge of best-in-class sourcing & contracting processes Demonstrated leadership of complex supplier contracting, ideally at Fortune 100 and across multi-entity global corporate structure Extremely customer-focused, taking the time to understand the needs of the business,JD or an advanced degree in a related area, a plus Experience using Coupa and/or other contract lifecycle management tools, a plus

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
