Job Summary The Sourcing Manager will lead the strategic sourcing and supplier management of aluminum extrusions, powder coating, castings, fabricated metals, and other products. This role is critical to developing a resilient, cost-effective, and globally competitive supply base. You'll work cross-functionally to optimize cost, ensure continuity, and improve supplier performance across multiple commodities. This position offers the opportunity to shape long-term sourcing strategy while driving immediate value through tactical execution and supplier collaboration. Essential Functions Develop and lead sourcing strategies for aluminum extrusions and other assigned commodities in alignment with business goals and global market conditions. Conduct market research to identify and evaluate current and potential domestic and international suppliers based on total cost, quality, capability, and capacity. Generate and maintain various top management flash reports and monthly market overview reports on key commodities. Manage supplier negotiations focused on long-term value: pricing, terms, payment schedules, rebates, lead times, and risk mitigation. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers; drive continuous improvement via performance reviews, scorecards, and structured feedback. Analyze cost structures, supply chain risks, and industry dynamics to drive sourcing decisions and strategic initiatives. Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure timely and specification-compliant delivery of materials. Lead sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs) and oversee contracts to ensure total cost optimization and performance assurance. Project manage Sourcing and VA/VE projects to implementation Monitor inventory levels and internal purchasing tendencies to coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure supply continuity and support cost reduction targets. Champion process improvements and implement tools that enhance procurement efficiency and transparency. Ensure compliance with internal processes, SOX requirements, and procurement best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of sourcing or commodity management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on aluminum extrusions and steel items. Demonstrated success negotiating with both domestic and international suppliers. Strong technical knowledge of sourcing systems, procurement processes, and cost structures. Demonstrated strong project management skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/MRP systems (JDE experience is a plus). Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and actions. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Comprehension of market dynamics and ability to translate the information into meaningful language. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, MS Office Proficiency, MRP, JDE.     Primary Purpose of the Role The Vice President of Supply Chain Planning is a critical executive role responsible for synchronizing demand and supply across Hoffmaster's complex North American manufacturing footprint and both foreign and domestic suppliers. This role is the primary process owner of the S&OP including the responsibility to drive continuous improvement in the maturity of the process, architects & leads change management and adaptation of all improvements across the organization, along with the administration of process and data integrity. The role is the principal driver of business application capabilities and future enhancements that improve the end-to-end planning process and systems of a segmented Supply Chain. The technical aspect of this role involves understanding and driving the development of segmented supply chain models in order to support Make to Stock (MTS) and Build to Order (BTO) products. This should include the development of an optimized planning process, system and tools which will provide the capabilities to support the changing go-to market strategies. Essential Job Duties Own and mature the monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process to align sales forecasts with production capacity and financial objectives. Drive all aspects of the S&OP process as well as thought leadership and Strategy Development and Deployment throughout the business. Obtain support for the SIOP process and plan through collaboration with all aspects of the organization to gain effective stakeholder alignment through change management techniques. Synchronize production scheduling and material flow across six North American plants to optimize equipment utilization and meet customer service targets. Optimize finished goods and raw material inventory to balance working capital with a high-service "never-out" retail or commercial requirement. Lead long-range capacity modeling to determine when to add new lines or footprints based on market growth in the disposable products sector. Key metrics associated with the function include forecast accuracy, OTIF, working capital, inventory turns, schedule compliance, capacity utilization, as well as assisting with the development of leading indicators that enable visibility to short and long term market trends and demand. Partner with Finance and SLT to ensure alignment of the S & OP process with the financial forecasting processes and working capital goals, including AOP and LRP. Required Skills/Abilities Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or a related field is required. An MBA is preferred 12-15+ years of experience in demand or supply forecasting, preferably within high-volume manufacturing (paper, CPG, or disposable goods) Deep expertise in ERP/MRP systems and data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau. APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certifications preferred. Demonstrated success in defining and implementing an S &OP process within a complex environment where data is not immediately available and deductions will need to be drawn based on limited input. Role Overview The Senior Strategic Sourcer for Technology will play a critical role in enabling Bridgewater's technologists to do their best work by ensuring access to world-class technology solutions at the right cost, risk profile, and level of flexibility, as Bridgewater invests in next-generation technology platforms, including AI-enabled systems that support research, investment, and operational excellence. This role carries end-to-end ownership for the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of sourcing across technology, including software, hardware, and services. Operating as a thought partner to technology leaders, the Senior Strategic Sourcer will apply rigorous analysis, independent thinking, and disciplined execution to design and implement sourcing strategies that strengthen Bridgewater's competitive advantage. Responsibilities Partner closely with technology and business stakeholders to deeply understand objectives, constraints, and trade-offs, translating those insights into clear sourcing requirements and strategies. Own and actively manage strategic vendor relationships, setting expectations, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement across cost, quality, service, and risk. Proactively identify sourcing and category opportunities through structured spend analysis, market and industry research, supplier economics, and contract lifecycle management, forming evidence-based recommendations. Design and execute sourcing strategies that evaluate alternatives, define the optimal sourcing approach, and establish clear project plans and timelines to deliver high-impact outcomes. Lead negotiations for complex software licensing, IT services, and hardware agreements, balancing commercial terms, flexibility, and long-term partnership considerations. Secure technology services that deliver durable advantages in capability, scalability, and total cost of ownership. Maintain end-to-end accountability for contract performance, ensuring commitments are met across cost, supply, quality, compliance, and on-time delivery. Continuously raise the bar for sourcing standards, processes, and decision quality across the technology procurement lifecycle. Role Requirements 5+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, and supplier management, with demonstrated ownership of complex, high-value categories. Deep expertise in software sourcing, including SaaS and enterprise platforms (e.g., Workday, Zoom, Slack), AI labs (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAi etc) and strong familiarity with broader technology ecosystems. Demonstrated experience sourcing and negotiating IT infrastructure solutions, including data center services, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, and related managed services. Proven ability to operate effectively at both the strategic level and in a high-volume execution environment, managing multiple priorities without sacrificing rigor. Extensive experience leading sophisticated contract negotiations for software licensing, IT services, and infrastructure agreements. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to build and interpret cost models and assess total cost, performance, and risk trade-offs. Track record of maintaining exceptionally high standards of quality and control throughout the sourcing lifecycle. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage candidly and productively with colleagues at all levels, including senior leadership. Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and the willingness to challenge assumptions in service of better outcomes. Compensation Band The wage range for this role is $225,000 - $250,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 75% - 85% of this wage range.
