Co-Opportunity is a chance for you to learn about your chosen field in a real work environment with experienced GAF professionals. You'll be involved in high-profile projects as an integral member of our working teams. We offer full-time assignments to those students who are working toward undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering, supply chain/logistics, or procurement/purchasing. Each assignment lasts a school term, and you may be invited to return to GAF Corporation for additional terms while you continue your education. During your assignment, you will have a mentor - someone who will act as a coach to help you better understand both our company and your work responsibilities. **You will receive a competitive salary and - depending on location - a temporary living allowance or relocation allowance.**
**Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

+ Provide logistics support for site operations (Transportation, Warehousing/Shipping/Planning/Purchasing)

+ Perform distribution cost analyses and create adhoc reports

+ Assist in defining and documenting process improvements

+ Serve as team member, or designated leader in some area of the logistics function

**Requirements:**

The will be responsible for partnering with the C-level to develop and implement Supply Chain strategies across several manufacturing sites. This Director will play a very strategic part in the overall business direction and vision for the organization. Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

* Lead all activities related to Operations; Supply Chain: Central Planning, Import/Export, and Material Management
* Responsible for 75 MM USD in Factory Costs & SC Costs Budget.

* Optimize capacity utilization through contributions to facility fit decisions and long-term campaign planning. Collaborate with multiple corporate functions on the same.

* Establish and maintain a stable supply of all direct, indirect and MRO materials required to operate the sites

* Drive identification of long-term strategies to minimize cost of goods manufactured (COGM) at the site and support operational excellence at the site through supply chain functions
