* Leads the PMO in serving asthe University’s entry point for cross-functional information technology projects of Nortwestern University for project analysis and planning, and in developing sound project management in support of University priorities.

* Leads the campus in looking for opportunities to work together, using or adapting new technologies and approaches to proactively support users of information technology.

* Provides leadership to drive strategy and continuous improvements in project management, training, quality assurance, and test-automation related operations.
* Leads analysis and project management of new opportunities and other special projects as assigned by the CIO or central administration.
* Defines project scopes, goals, and resource requirements that are complete, persuasive, and justified, and presents such analyses via several delivery methods to both technical and non-technical audiences of the University.
* Has significant and detailed technical contact with vendors, suppliers, and other service providers regarding system evaluations, purchases, system integration and implementation.

* Manages and motivates the staff of the PMO in providing project management services to Northwestern University faculty, staff, and students.
* Selects project teams and delegates responsibilities to achieve the goals of a project, deliver project results on time and within budgets, while also contributing to professional development of team members.
* Develops project metrics and feedback measurements to ensure professional delivery of projects according to PMO best practices, Administrative Systems expectations and standards, and proven methodologies.
* Plans, directs, coordinates, and provides oversight to staff of internal and contract project managers related to the portfolio of Administative System projects.
* Provides direct guidance on project/portfolio, resource planning, prioritization, and budgeting.
