The Executive Director for Strategic Academic Partnerships and Student Engagement is responsible for ensuring the strategic development and effective operational delivery of collaborative academic partnerships, including internships and other experiential opportunities to enhance student success. This individual will cultivate strategic collaborations with senior executives and community leaders in Middle Georgia and the surrounding region; will collaborate with industry and community partners to design effective solutions for their talent development needs drawing from our existing, university-wide program portfolio and by directing the development of custom offerings to address their distinctive needs. Responsibilities will include identifying target partners; nurturing collaborative partnerships; formulating proposals and managing execution of custom programs; and generate significant sources of revenue through value-adding solutions for our partner portfolio. This position is responsible for identifying strategic industry and community partnerships to further student learning and workforce readiness, including internship opportunities. The position will work with the faculty to identify opportunities for creative and entrepreneurial partnerships to leverage the university's academic offerings and faculty talent and expertise in a mutually beneficial town-gown relationship.
Duties and Responsibilities


Develops partnerships with leading organizations to expand the University's reach and educational impact. Oversees the development of high quality, custom, executive education programs ensuring alignment with the business development plan identified for each client and by leveraging our internal faculty expertise, and alumni and other external networks. Represents the Office of the Provost in discussions with prospective and current articulation partners. Manages the process of developing, writing, reviewing, and obtaining approvals for new agreements Develops and implement plans for signing ceremonies to include Marketing and Communications and University Events Manages the ongoing administration of agreements including notification to partners of agreement expiration, updates, and maintenance of internal records Manages the details of partnerships, contracts, training, tracking, and reporting systems, and program operations to maintain high levels of accountability. Obtain, collects and reports data on program success.


Qualifications


Minimum:

Master's degree in relevant discipline (e.g., organizational leadership, higher education management, etc.) 5 or more years of experience Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills


Working conditions
