What Does A Director Training & Education Do At Planned Parenthood

* Responsible for achieving program goals as defined by manager and the Argosy Foundation.
* Design, implement, deliver, and evaluate sexual health educational and training programs for youth, adults, and professional audiences in assigned regional communities.
* Identify strategic partnerships and key alliances to further the goals of PPINK’s Argosy Program.
* Work with University of Kentucky to collect demographic data and evaluations from workshop and training participants; compile data for reports.
* Present material in clear and effective styles and formats for diverse ages, abilities, cultures, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and religious faiths.
* Prepare educational and informational materials, exercises and activities that are age and culturally appropriate to the target population.
* Research best practices in teaching methods and innovative curricula to adapt for local programs; ensure methods are in line with PPINK standards.
* Develop and foster community relationships through participation in community meetings, and working with local supporters.
* Extend community outreach by participating in targeted activities such as health fairs, school, and college and community events.
* Provide individual education sessions as needed.
* Maintain database of activities for monthly reporting

What Does A Director Training & Education Do At Kalispell Regional Medical Center

* Plans and conducts AHA courses to meet assessed needs; recruits and trains instructors for all courses; maintains educational resources; assures quality and compliance in accordance with AHA standards and agreement; serves as liaison between AHA, KRH, local healthcare facilities, EMS and academic institutions as pertinent.
* Designs and coordinates the Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) program throughout Kalispell Regional Healthcare, community, consistent with KRH's and American Heart Association (AHA) missions.
* Acts as part of Training Center Faculty to monitor KRH Training Sites, monitors instructors, and conducts Instructor Courses for BLS, ACLS, PALS and PEARS.
* Instructs and provides skills testing for CPR, ACLS, PALS, and PEARS along with card administration.
* Plans and develops educational strategies to meet identified needs and desired outcomes.
* Implements courses and tools, along with resources to carry out education plans.
* Teaches and trains using principles of learning and effective methodologies.
* Evaluates actual learning outcomes and program effectiveness in relation to desired outcomes.
* Serves as a catalyst for change within organization by facilitating initiation of, adoption of and adaption to change.
* Assumes formal/informal consultant role by assisting individuals and groups with input, feedback, solutions, and learning integration.
* Exhibits leadership behaviors by supporting/collaborating with organization and administrative structures and managing resources to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
* Demonstrates researcher role by designing, creating, and/or applying relevant research to support learning as recommended by AHA
