We are looking for Seasonal Field Assistant to assist our team in Ohio. You will work with direct supervision and general direction on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member of a larger project under the guidance of a Senior Surveyor. Please note that this is a summer position with a possibility of an extension. Your Key Responsibilities - Preform surveying assignments under the direction of a supervisor. - Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment. - Loads vehicles with tools and equipment, ensuring materials are loaded correctly. - Learn to operate and maintain all instruments and measuring devices including levels, robotic total stations, GPS equipment and data collectors. - Learn to transfer survey data to the proper files in the computer network and acquire data for field use under the direction of the survey crew chief. - Learn to assist in the preparation of survey drawings using AutoCAD software. - Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Your Capabilities and Credentials - Good cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team. - Foundational math skills, including algebra and trigonometry. - Ability to learn to operate Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble GPS equipment, TSC3 data collectors, and digital levels, and other related equipment. - Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Education and Experience - 0-2+ years of related work experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Basic knowledge of surveying would be considered an asset. - Position will primarily work in field setting (seasonal).
