What Does A Disaster Recovery Specialist Do At Caci International

* The Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) in accordance with DOD requirements in support of Automated Biometrics Information System (ABIS).
* The position is responsible for ensuring COOP requirements are met including maintaining remote accessibility by operators and supporting a fail-over and fail-back testing consistent with DoD requirements.
* The position is responsible for ensuring the Master Recovery System/Disaster Recovery Site is operational and can provide DoD ABIS services.
* Performs day-to-day activities required to test all DR task program, such as designing and administrating a DR program to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery at multi-site locations.
* Oversees and reviews the testing and implementation of software, data systems, and data networks to ensure that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately protected.
* The position works with other team members including systems engineers and technical writers to develop the strategy and to implement innovative solutions designed to support failover and recovery scenarios.
* Coordinates and monitors simulation testing across all platforms.
* Designs and administers programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.
