About the Role
The Director, Debit ProductManagement & Delivery, will lead the development and commercialization of American Express's Debit acquiring capabilities - from concept through deployment. This role will ensure new Debit products and features are designed, built, and launched to meet customer, partner, and business needs.
Reporting to the Vice President, Debit U.S. Program and Go-To-Market, this leader will oversee the full delivery from defining requirements to driving development across Network, Acquiring, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution.

Job Responsibilities
* Develop and own solutions for payment optimization products across Merchant Services, driving success across product development, go-to-market, pricing, and sales
* Collaborate with product and customer teams to design and maintain customer journeys and client personas, informed by a deep understanding of client needs and behaviors
* Stay current on evolving client needs and market trends to inform solution development, continuously recommending and developing new solutions across the payment stack
* Influence the product development cycle and partner across product, technology, and architecture teams to drive successful product launches
* Create organization-wide alignment and excitement around solution strategies and success
* Take responsibility for solution success, driving go-to-market teams to execute your vision and base their motions on your product strategies
* Drive adoption of optimization products and services, including Fraud, Vaulting, Authentication, and Orchestration/Routing
* Own P&L responsibilities and drive business outcomes for solution areas, ensuring appropriate success measures, OKRs, and KPIs are set and achieved
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
* Demonstrate 5+ years of experience or equivalent in the payments industry, with expertise in optimization-related products
* Illustrate a strong understanding of value levers in payments, including authorization rates, conversion rates, fraud, and payment network economics
* Exhibit significant experience within or interacting with product, technology, and architecture in the payments space, with a strong grasp of the product development process and tools (e.g., JIRA)
* Strong understanding of architecture and the ability to design and illustrate product interoperability across systems
* Lead initiatives across multiple stakeholders, including product, sales, and pricing
* Develop exemplary presentations for various levels of leadership
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
* Demonstrate experience developing customer journeys, personas, and requirements
* Exhibit experience working directly with customers, including gathering feedback and conducting needs assessments; consulting experience is a plus
* Illustrate understanding of data environments, including the ability to build or convey query requirements
* Show comfort with P&L ownership, setting business objectives, and driving outcomes, including building and running sales campaigns
* Demonstrate expertise in developing and launching new products in the payments space

As a Letter of Credit Product Advisor - Vice President within the Commercial Bank, you are client facing and will team up with our Commercial bankers on relationship management and product delivery activities for our Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) offering. You will provide consistent, high quality service to ensure excellent client experience. You will take on ownership of a complex product and are responsible for the end-to-end process.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Own a portfolio of clients and build strong relationships with our customers and internal banking teams dedicated to your portfolio.
+ Advise our Commercial Bank US customers and bankers around best practices on Letter of Credit structuring and set up.
+ Set expectations around product delivery and help our customers with the Letter of Credit execution by providing them with a smooth end to end product delivery.
+ Lead the Letter of Credit process and provide the clients with clear guidance and transparency on the process
+ Act as a trusted advisor to your respective portfolio for any Letter of Credit situations that arise.
+ Coordinate with various internal, cross regional teams such as Banking, Trade Finance Client Service/Ops, Credit, Legal and other functions to ensure efficient Letter of Credit execution.
+ Coordinate the Letter of Credit process across the Commercial Bank's customer base during client onboarding, new facility set up and Letter of Credit issuance.
+ Consult with clients on new facilities, amendments to or cancellations of Letters of Credit.
+ Manage, oversee, and escalate for a broad range of topics, such as structuring, collateral, documentation and the complex implementations.
+ Know credit appetite and coordinate discussions when a new credit need arises including partnering with the Underwriter and Credit Teams to facilitate set up of Letters of Credit facilities, and Cash Collateral, if needed.
+ Engage with bankers on pricing discussions and guide for market levels and understand background for capital needs on Letters of Credit.
**Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills**
+ 7+ years' experience in Commercial Banking, Sales with Trade Finance / Letter of Credit experience
+ Proven ability to build and develop relationships. Willingness to build a strong internal network will be critical to success
+ Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to adjust messaging for different audiences including our clients C-suite and their operations teams
+ Must be well-organized and structured with the ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables
+ Experience in reviewing, understanding, and/or working with credit partners
+ Knowledge of Foreign Bank Guarantees
+ Experience working in or closely with front office Commercial Banking

+ Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
