The Dispatcher is part of the Providence Security Operations Center (PSOC), which is responsible for providing a centralized location for collecting, processing, documenting and disseminating information as it relates to routine and emergency calls for service in the Oregon Region and other contracted facilities. The PSOC operates much like a public 911 center but additionally monitors high risk areas through the use of CCTV, alarms and access control systems.

+ Maintains accurate schedule of all staff on-call; responsible for following physician staff scheduling for after-hours calls, week-ends, and holidays, for all KP physicians and allied healthcare staff for KSMC, clinics and plan hospitals; updates call sheets for ill calls received and makes sure replacements are documented for all operator work stations; assists in locating replacement physicians when requested; ensures request for specialty consult is reached, and if no response, locate another physician to take the call.
+ Perform scheduling activities for all support departments who have staff on-call after hours, week-ends, and holidays at KSMC, clinics, and plan hospitals; updates staff call sheets for ill calls and their replacements; assist in locating staff when requested; ensure request for supportive service is reached, locating another staff until completed.
+ Prepare and maintain current list of those on-call for both physician and support services for daily access; aware of key personnel on duty at all times; assist physicians in pager assignment and/or replacements.
+ Participate in quality review/monitoring activities; collaborate with departments to ensure accurate and complete information is provided to members at all times; prepare and utilize logs for traffic data; prepare report of all unusual activities and departments response to such; develop, review, and revise department procedures when requested; actively participate in orientation and training of new employees in department as assigned; report all problems promptly to appropriate personnel.

The Dispatcher reports to the Yard Manager and is an important part of the yard team. As a member of the Lumber Yard Team, the Dispatcher is also responsible for helping to build loads, unload vendor deliveries, putting stock away, loading delivery trucks, and scheduled maintenance of all yard equipment and delivery vehicles, maintaining a clean organized yard and providing great customer service. This position must be able to work as a team player with other co-workers and also support a team atmosphere for yard employees. Significant Lumber and building materials experience is important in this position.
Dispatcher responsibilities include:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following, duties may change as management deems necessary:
Supervise drivers and assure proper operating procedures are in place to provide outstanding customer service and efficient and accurate delivery operations.
Train, motivate, supervise and schedule drivers to meet delivery needs.
Ensure compliance with company policies as well as state and federal labor laws.
Must maintain professional communication with sales, yard personnel, vendors and customers as well as other store employees. Must maintain a safe workplace environment and train others to do so as well
