As a Service Dispatcher, you will work in a team environment to provide exceptional service to customers in need of service on the commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, plumbing and controls systems. You will create and schedule service work and coordinate any necessary details with service technicians and customers. You'd also assist technicians with scheduling contract work and perform admin functions as needed.
The ideal candidate for this position would be a strong, professional communicator both verbally and in the written form. Your Day-to-Day at Murphy Company
Extracting and recording critical information from client calls, analyzing appropriate next steps for serving clients, and coordinating/assigning proper technical resources to serve clients.
Document and follow-up with service technicians, external vendors, and clients to ensure proper completion of tasks. Effective use of our Service Management Platform (PENTA) and Smartsheet is vital, as is providing internal support for inter-departmental teams across functions.
Coordination of manpower for completion of scheduled maintenance, projects, and inter-company support.

Duties

Position Summary
The Public Safety Dispatcher serves as a highly skilled communications professional within the Lake County Emergency Communications Center. Under the general supervision of the Communications Supervisor and direction of the Lake County E911 Authority Board, the dispatcher provides essential emergency and non-emergency communications support to the public, law enforcement, fire services, EMS, and various partner agencies.
Dispatchers must use sound judgment, critical decision-making skills, and adhere to all directives, policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Competitive Pay: Starting pay for a new Communications Officer is $42,619.20 a year. Lateral Communications Officers are highly encouraged to apply with starting wages dependent on experience. We offer paid overtime. Communications Officers are eligible to receive predetermined hourly increases for certifications and educational degrees.
Paid Insurance Premiums: The City of Rawlins pays all employee insurance premiums, a savings of $320 a month and $3840 a year for a family.
Pension: You are eligible for a 20-year retirement at 50% of your top five earning years, 62.5% at 25 years, and 75% after 30 years.
No State Income Tax: Citizens of Wyoming do not pay personal or corporate state income taxes, no retirement income taxes, and enjoy low property and sales tax rates.

Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting safe, proper shuttle operations through scheduling, employee communication, and shift management.
Schedule vehicles and drivers for fixed route service; cover open shifts on short notice when necessary.
Working knowledge of basic office equipment, such as phone, fax, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Word and Excel.
Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
Courteously assist customers and employees alike by answering any questions they may have. If necessary, direct the customer to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
Facilitate monthly driver meetings, company training requirements, and changes to daily operating procedures as necessary. Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of field operations, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the service area.
Assist Facility Managers with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education Required: High School Degree or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge: Prior knowledge or experience with shuttle or other dispatched transportation operations, scheduling, employee management preferred.
Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends may be required.
License Requirement: The individual will be required to have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, write, speak and communicate all aspects of job related information in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the company.
