    Assigns driver loads to deliver freight to customers in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures drivers meet weekly revenue targets, aligned with overall departmental revenue goals. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assigns drivers to convey freight as requested by customers, in compliance with DOT regulations and company guidelines. 2. Utilizes load boards, call lists and other options to solicit work for available drivers. 3. Communicates and confirms assigned dispatch for all assigned drivers. 4. Communicates with customers on orders and schedules drivers based upon customer needs and driver availability. 5. Makes adjustments with dispatch based upon changing customer needs and driver availability. 6. Communicates customer, DOT compliance, violations, and safety concerns to drivers as necessary. 7. Manages issues and handles required discipline until escalated to management team. 8. Solicits and secures outside carrier support when work volume exceeds Company capacity. 9. Works with Director of Sales to prioritize customer loads and ensures dispatch and sales are in alignment. 10. Ensures the accuracy of orders, driver loads and other information within the McLeod transportation system. 11. Enters driver assignment data in McLeod transportation system. 12. Works with drivers to ensure they are being efficient and productive. 13. Works with maintenance team and other Dispatchers to track and ensure Owner/Operators are having quarterly tractor inspections and Company fleet follows vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance programs. 14. Optimizes revenue potential for each driver while minimizing empty miles. 15. Clearly communicates to Owner/Operators and Company drivers expected gross pay for each load. 16. Remains proficient with all transportation systems, including Geo Tab ,McLeod and LYTX. 17. Answers after-hours emergency dispatch line (on-call phone). 18. Prepare and publish daily and weekly reports for transportation KPIs as directed. 19. Communicates customer issues and works with appropriate staff to resolve in a timely manner. 20. Performs various other ancillary administrative duties to support the transportation department. 21. Performs other tasks and projects as requested.
