This position is responsible for the evening and night shift radio communications for the Law Enforcement Division of the Marine Resources Commission. It operates all radio communications equipment, answers and transmits radio and telephone messages between VMRC vessels, vehicles, aircraft, as well as vessels and vehicles of other local, state, and federal agencies. It handles emergency calls and assists law enforcement management/staff in the directing of the use of resources during crises situations. It also receives and assists the public during the day shifts. It performs sales of licenses, assists with inventory, data entry, some typing of letters and reports, and filing.
