Salary Range: $25.27 - $39.78/hourly
Minimum Qualifications:
Lateral: Minimum 12 months of previous full-time public safety dispatch experience within one year prior to starting as a reserve dispatcher. Has successfully completed a public safety dispatch training program with their previous/current full-time Dispatch Center employer. Departed from full-time public safety dispatch employment in good standing, or still works full-time in good standing with another public safety Dispatch Center. Must have current certifications in EMD and Utah POST for dispatchers. Must be willing to work a minimum of 28 hours a week consecutively until successfully released from training at Summit County Dispatch.
Existing Summit County Dispatchers: Minimum 12 months of previous full-time public safety dispatch experience within one year prior to starting as a reserve dispatcher. Has successfully completed the Summit Dispatch training program at least 6 months prior. Departed from full-time Summit County Dispatch employment in good standing. Must have current certifications in EMD and Utah POST for Dispatchers. Successfully released from Summit County new employee probation period.

The Dispatch Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of the distribution of equipment and personnel to meet project needs and maintain availability levels. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Purpose:
The Dispatcher plans, organizes and directs workflows within the Local Transportation Department. Dispatchers must effectively communicate with concerned parties to prevent or resolve problems in a timely manner. Must be able to help identify and prevent logistical obstacles before they arise or minimize those that do with time sensitive decisions and critical thinking skills.
Essential Functions:
Monitors and controls building access for visitors or vendors and couriers picking up and delivering at the courier dock.
Take department responsibility when Leads or Supervisors or Managers are not on duty
Conducts various personnel management assignments including, but not limited to:
Submits Employee Improvement Tracking (EIT) requests for management review for deviations from policies and procedures,
Assigns overtime as needed and notify the leads or supervisor,
Ensures staff and resources are utilized productively.
Assists with problem resolution for issues with specimens, vehicle incidents, and clients.
Institutes computer downtime procedures when appropriate.
Enforces all safety guidelines and policies including evacuation procedures.
Attends meetings including the Transportation Department's Weekly Huddle when on shift and the quarterly Local Transportation staff meeting whether on shift or not.

Dispatch:
Receive inbound calls from clients placing orders for specimen pickup.
Communicate professionally to maintain customer service expectations
Direct ARUP couriers to utilizing mapping tools and software to meet Turnaround time (TAT) expectations from customer pickup through delivery to laboratory.
Creative problem solving including answering questions and trouble shoot problems for couriers, tracking down client contacts, building access, and other special instructions.
Coordinate with in-person customers at the Transportation desk, handling and sorting specimens for outbound delivery, setting appropriate expectations for delivery fulfilment.
Coordinate with Internal department customers to inform them of specimen arrival patterns and workflow.
Engage vendors for STAT pickups as needed.
Document all routing, will calls, stats and other courier assignments in the dispatch portal, reconciling all pickup requests at end of each courier shift to ensure task completion.
Ensure proper use and care of ARUP company equipment. Report any vehicle, phone, or other equipment problems to the Lead and Transportation Supervisor promptly.
Exceed customer on-time pick-up and delivery expectations; proactive analysis to prevent service failures
Productive courier relationship development, handling and management of difficult situations
Consistent and professional communications; effective, prompt, and courteous communications with respect to difficult situations, relaying service failures
Establish and maintain effective relationships with clinics and hospitals through professional and timely communications and inquiry response
Familiar with all computer programs required to complete duties. (Salesforce, GML, ScanTrack, and Samsara) In order to facilitate the life cycle of specimen delivery.
Communicate frequently with professionals such as: ARUP clients or Account Executives, FedEx, contract couriers, and other ARUP departments such as Specimen Processing and Client Services.

A Brief Overview
The Dispatcher serves as the primary liaison between customers, technicians, and local market teams to schedule, route, and track work orders. The Dispatcher supports all district retail locations.
What you will do
1. Teamwork: • Promote a positive work environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving to support District/Store Partners. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Store Manager, Assistant Manager and District Manager to deliver business goals.
2. Routing/Same day: • Build and plan routes matching Technician and Repair Specialist skill level with the appropriate quantity of jobs and difficulty level. • Execute on delivering the most efficient Route planning to maximize technician productivity. • Execute on same day routes (day of routing) needs, including responding to Technician and Repair Specialist call offs, customer cancelations, SLAs, same day add-ons, wrong/damaged/missing parts, and ETA calls. Manage "day of" weather impact, including confirming cover, moving in-shop, rescheduling orders, etc. • Track progress of mobile Technician and Repair Specialist job status and follow-up using MDM and TechPulse. • Maintain familiarity with geography of district (i.e. location of streets, subdivisions, businesses, etc.) and provide accurate directions for Technicians and Repair Specialists when needed. • Ensure proper information is on routing manifest and work orders before Technicians and Repair Specialists leave the facility.
3. Strategic Planning: • Collaborate with Workforce & Capacity Managers and Capacity Leads to provide recommendations and insights to support District/Store Capacity.

WholesomeCo is in search of a Dispatcher to join our growing team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of deliveries to our patients.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate, Route, schedule deliveries, assemble orders, and facilitate payment processing
Create transportation manifests and other required records for patient deliveries
Answer Calls with a cheerful, positive attitude pertaining to Dispatch order or Courier Drivers having issues or needing assistance on their routes
Maintain an on-going knowledge of company products and current state laws regarding medical cannabis and delivery regulations
Monitor routing software and communicate effectively with drivers throughout the day. You'll be the point of contact if they need assistance while out on a delivery route
Responsible for making sure all rostered drivers have a route in the system and in the right delivery area to ensure route completion in a timely and safe manner. You must have the necessary skills and knowledge to make route changes and assignments in the routing software. Training will be provided - judgment is key
Light Scheduling - As we continue to grow, you'll be expected to have a certain level of knowledge related to scheduling and driver availability. It is important for you to not only have access to the scheduling tools but to learn the use of them and make approved changes if necessary

Qualifications:
1+ years dispatch and/or logistics experience preferred
2 + years customer service experience preferred
Superior communication skills are paramount - written and verbal
Strong computer skills. Experience using Microsoft Office products as well as extremely comfortable working with new software/applications
Experience working with smartphone applications
Good teamwork mentality: able to build trustworthy and supportive working relationships
Experience in the transportation/dispatch industry
Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem solving skills
Flexibility and ability to adjust to a start-up environment that is fast-paced and constantly changing
Must be reliable and dependable at all times
Flexible schedule -ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends
Ability to sit or stand for long periods, crouch, bend, and carry up to 10 lbs
Must have a working phone with a connection to internet services
Ability to verbally communicate and hear audio
Must pass a pre-employment/post-offer background check
Must be 21 years of age or older
