Authorizing lifts to start loading passengers every morning

Dispatching patrollers to perform snow safety work and documenting
Communicating directly with EMS over the phone and radio to coordinate transfer of care
Communicating directly with flight crews to land air EMS on the mountain
Coordinating and communicating operational changes based on weather
Dispatching Security to incidents where they are needed
Dispatching the appropriate leadership employees to incidents
Dispatching incident investigators to incidents that require an investigation
Coordinating and communicating Lift Evacuations and Lift Closures (mechanical and weather related)
Coordinating and communicating Search and Rescue operations
Coordinating shuttle transportation for weather related closures of chairlifts (wind hold and lightning)
Dispatching groomers and snowmakers to areas in need of work
Coordinating guest relations (vouchers) for lift incidents (evac, mechanical delay, etc.)
Working with the leadership team to develop scripting and protocols to follow for the dispatching of anticipated incidents
Sending “everybody” emails and Senior Staff texts as necessary
Training departments on proper radio communication
Obtaining the grooming report and updating trail status info on website
Making a Daily Operations Update announcement over the radio every day at 3pm
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a dispatcher is not required. You will have the opportunity to learn the position from the ground up as long as you are able to take the initiative to get yourself up to speed quickly, take ownership of the position, possess excellent attention to detail, self-motivate, and develop strong relationships with all of the mountain operations personnel. Experience with mountain operations, skiing, and mountain biking is preferred.
Other skills and abilities:
Must be able to quickly learn the mountain including all trails, access points, roads, intersections, landmarks, etc. to a very high level of detail in order to effectively dispatch resources to specific locations.
Ability to thrive in a high stress work environment where multiple forms of communication have to be juggled at the same time

Prior experience as a dispatcher is not required. Full-time Description
Public Safety Call Takers are responsible for the intake and processing of incoming emergency and nonemergency telephone calls, follow up of active calls for service, entry and modification of warrants, temporary restraining orders, criminal trespass warnings and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be 18 years of age at the time of hire
• Valid Driver's License or State ID
• Ability to pass established pre-employment skills testing
