    The purpose of a Fleet Leader is to provide efficient and effective management of a fleet of drivers, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal regulations. The role involves ensuring the drivers are appropriately trained and qualified, providing support and guidance to ensure they are working safely and efficiently, and to ensure the fleet meets its operational objective. JOB FUNCTIONS: Lead and retain a designated fleet of drivers Ensure that all drivers are fully compliant with legal requirements Coordinate with planning personnel to obtain loads for fleet and dispatch drivers Manage driver availability to maximize the productivity of fleet Monitor driver performance and conduct Ensure payroll accuracy for assigned drivers Maintain records of driver logs Act as a first point of contact KEY KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent; College degree preferred Experience dispatching and managing drivers preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills required Experience working in a deadline driven environment preferred Experience in McLeod a plus Strong understanding of commercial vehicle regulations and safety standards
