Job Overview
Responsible for transportation services; receiving incoming/outgoing pick-up calls and scheduling transportation services for the same day. Communicating with PACE centers to coordinate daily transportation for AltaMed patients and participants. Assist with other transportation vendors (e.g., Agape) by facilitating information and back-up service when/if possible. Duties include scheduling, routing, record keeping, and auditing to ensure compliance with AltaMed's policies and procedures. The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring all drivers are commuting back to base at the end of the day once the assignments are completed. The Dispatcher will also ensure compliance with program deadlines and provide support to others as needed.
Minimum Requirements
* High School diploma or GED equivalent, required.
* Experience in health care, preferred.
* A minimum of one year of experience in dispatch services.
* Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, preferred.

The Chino Police Department is seeking highly motivated individuals to apply for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher I. The Police Communications Center is comprised of 17 Public Safety Dispatchers and three (3) Public Safety Dispatch Supervisors. The center is a new state of the art facility which offers standing and sitting workstations with personal comfort systems at each console. There is also an onsite gym available for a small fee payable to the Police Officer's Association.
Typing Requirement: This position requires a minimum typing speed of 40 net words per minute with fewer than 10 errors. This is the entry-level class in the public safety dispatching class series. Public Safety Dispatcher I's learn to perform dispatching related duties and responsibilities. Advancement to the next level is not automatic and requires an evaluation by management of the incumbent's skill and performance levels. This is a civilian position.

* Keep track of Police unit locations and status; maintain constant radio communication with personnel in the field; run warrant checks on subjects, registration checks on vehicles, and property checks; relay information and instructions to personnel in the field.
* Maintain accurate log of incoming service requests and actions taken; prepare other reports and records as directed; maintain files necessary for dispatch as assigned; enter, update, and retrieve information from the computer and teletype networks.

Major Duties

POSITION SUMMARY:

Review traffic control plans and permits to ensure accurate crew deployment.
Conduct virtual job-site assessments and document relevant details.
Manage and record employee callouts, absences, and morning job cancellations.
Respond to emergency dispatch needs, including after-hours calls and remote jobsite coordination.
Record and input job orders into the scheduling system based on customer requests.
Collaborate with the Safety & Training Team to identify and recommend training opportunities for field staff.
Monitor job site durations and coordinate crew relief when needed.
Communicate equipment and personnel needs to Warehouse and Operations teams. Support Warehouse and Inventory teams as needed.

Dispatcher-Clerks (DC) serve as the primary link and point of contact between the public and Department of Public Safety (DPS).
