Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Schedules trucks and drivers based on customer demand to ensure the timely delivery of loads
Determines daily route structure for each driver to maximize revenue for each piece of equipment
Logs and schedules loads from customers each day
Matches trucks with loads each day to best determine the efficient use of available equipment
Processes freight bills from the prior day on a timely basis so that they may be accurately invoiced
Creates freight bills for drivers on a timely basis
Develops employee schedules that ensures each employee is productive while at work, while also taking into account days off, sick days, holidays, etc.

Job Description
Tooele County is accepting applications for a Dispatcher with the Tooele County Sheriff's Department.
Applicants currently employed as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher can receive a lateral transfer pay.

POSITION DUTIES: Dispatchers are the primary answering point for all 911 and non-emergency phone calls from within Tooele County. The Communications Center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with two separate shifts. Dispatchers must be able to work odd hours and be on-call on short notice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Dispatcher I - $22.69: Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent; and must have two (2) years of work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Must be 18 years of age or older, demonstrate the ability to type 30 words a minute with a high degree of accuracy, and pass a Dispatcher/Call-taker pre-employment multi-tasking test; Must satisfactorily complete one (1) year probation.
Dispatcher II - $24.97: Meet minimum qualifications for Dispatcher I; Must have a minimum of two (2) years of work experience as a Dispatcher and currently employed as a Utah 9-1-1 Center Dispatcher; Accept additional duty assignments as required; Must have a minimum of two (2) certifications (see career ladder).
Dispatcher III - $26.96: Meet minimum requirements for a Dispatcher II; Minimum of five (5) years' work experience; Must have completed Utah Peach Officers Standard and Training (POST) Instructor Development certification; Must be certified as a Communications Training Officer (CTO) and train new hires as needed or certified as a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Instructor and instruct courses as needed; see career ladder for additional qualifications.
