    We are searching for an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to join the team! The Inventory Control Supervisor will oversee all aspects of inventory control efforts and inventory personnel, including cycle count programs, receiving efforts, and annual physical inventories when needed. This role is responsible for analyzing the physical inventory, conducting inventory discrepancy investigations, developing and implementing solutions with the operations team to minimize lost inventory and resolve root cause issues that drive variances. In addition, this role will prepare and present reporting to monitor the inventory performance and KPI metrics, including reporting needed for pharmaceutical requirements. Qualifications: Minimum of 4-6 years of inventory experience. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. ERP & warehouse management experience. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong people management and development abilities. Ability to lift boxes that weigh up to 30lbs and be on your feet a significant portion of the day Office and warehouse environment- ambient, hot, and cold temperatures Qualifications: Establish processes, procedures, and reporting that support and record all inventory activities. Maintain a thorough knowledge of enterprise systems in order to provide extensive support to production management and other internal/external customers. Accurately maintain inventory balances between WMS and the system in order to preserve inventory integrity. Review and provide oversight for inventory adjustments and corrections, including identifying and correcting descriptions, item numbers and locations when needed. Ensure approval protocols are followed based on limits of authority for needed adjustments. Develop and implement corrective action plans for inventory discrepancies and quality issues. Prepare, analyze and present reports to enable management to monitor and measure overall inventory performance and cycle count program status and quality metrics. Conduct daily inventory analysis, plan and supervise daily cycle counts and annual physical inventories. Coordinate scrap reconciliation and provide data and analysis to the Quality department as required for pharmaceutical products. Hire, lead, mentor and train inventory control Team Leads, Cycle Counters and receiving teams on proactive approaches and best practice procedures for inventory maintenance, corrections and methodologies. Participation in project teams involving business processes improvement and implementation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Serves as after-hours receptionist and radio “base” operator. The schedule for this position is Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Responsibilities Communication and Coordination Operates two-way radio system, answering calls to "Security" or “Dispatch” from employees during and after regular operating hours and contacting appropriate individuals by radio, phone, or email as needed. Contacts internal and external emergency personnel as needed via a two-way radio system and phone and effectively dispatches to the correct location. Accurately responds to and records information from incoming telephone and radio calls. Assists and communicates with other Security staff on duty when special situations arise (e.g., special events, after-hours deliveries, Animal wellness). Monitoring and Reporting Operates access control system and maintains an accurate log of all personnel gaining access. Operates and monitors security cameras and reports unusual activities to Security Management. Enters and distributes incident, injury, and crash reports utilizing the Security Reports database. Completes and maintains daily dispatch logs, incident reports, worker's compensation documents, community service time sheets, first aid documents, Security management daily brief, and any other required paperwork. Emergency Response and Safety Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of and actively participates in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and able to pass a semi-annual test on the ERP. Demonstrates a calm professional composure during emergencies and stressful situations. Attends to any employees or guests that are injured until medical personnel arrive using trained CPR, ERT, and AED CZFP practices. Always maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Administrative and Support Duties Creates Year-Round and Seasonal Employee and Volunteer ID cards and accurately records the information. Assists Safety and Security Management with clerical support duties as needed. Constantly strives to further the mission of the organization and avidly supports the Columbus Zoo Family of Parks. Implements sustainable practices in daily tasks whenever possible. Qualifications Communication and Customer Service Comfortable handling multi-line phones and providing clear, professional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ability to demonstrate excellent telephone and radio etiquette. Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. The ability to provide excellent guest service by interacting with guests positively and upholding the guest service standards. Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with all Columbus Zoo Family of Parks (CZFP) team members and contacts regarding company business. Technical and Operational Skills Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Office, and web-based applications). Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks simultaneously such as video camera monitoring and radio dispatching/monitoring. Ability to utilize basic record-keeping techniques. Situational Awareness and Response Ability to be alert to potentially abnormal conditions. Ability to think and act quickly, with good judgment, in all situations, including emergencies. Flexibility and Self-Management Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
