Job Summary We are currently recruiting in our Corporate office, Charleston, WV, for a Dispatcher (Gas Systems Operator). Duties and Responsibilities * Answers incoming calls from customers and dispatches accordingly to the appropriate field operations personnel to respond. * Must ask sufficient questions of callers to get accurate location and event details to communicate to appropriate responding staff for calls such as priority (PRs) and no gas. * Sorts and distributes orders and customer contact requests received from the call center to the corresponding operations area. * Accurately documents communications and account information with internal and external customers on issues related to the maintenance and operation of our natural gas systems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Requires computer skills for data entry and information retrieval tasks. * Tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult customer interactions. * Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills. * Subject to working 12 hour rotating shifts within a 24/7 operations environment including holidays. * Requires five (5) years of related work experience or related degree. Preferences: * Previous emergency dispatch experience. * Experience with customer information, geographic information, and/or dispatching systems. * Live within 45 minutes of the location.
