Scheduling future vision appointments for patients. Completing daily organizational and sanitization tasks. Conducting phone calls and working on a computer for extended periods. Calculate insurance co-pay based on insurance eligibility. Accurately enter spectacle orders; ensure timely delivery by monitoring status on a daily basis. Receive spectacle orders into system, verify order, notify patients, and schedule dispensing. Contact patients for follow up on progress of adapting to dispensed eyewear and prescribed contacts. Perform spectacle adjustments and repairs when necessary. Troubleshoot patient concerns with eyewear when necessary. Educate patients on the care of prescribed eyewear. Selling goods such as contact lenses, spectacles, sunglasses, and other goods related to eyes in general. Assist customers in selecting frames according to style and color and ensure that frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions. Heat and shape plastic or metal frames to adjust eyeglasses to fit clients Show customers how to insert, remove, and care for their contact lenses.
