Job Description
The Distribution Clerk is responsible for receiving, keying, and promptly distributing all supplies within the facility, as well as reviewing and maintaining all Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock as well as all other stocking locations. The distribution Clerk is also responsible for conducting physical inventories of all POU areas according to the defined schedule.
Additional Requirements
To qualify you must have a High school diploma or GED is required. Deliver supplies in an accurate and timely manner. Is authorized to transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media and drug-containing devices relative to core competencies of the position. Place safety stock in proper location. Receive expedited deliveries, accurately key receiving into the PeopleSoft system, and deliver to appropriate department(s). Receive all cross docked items into the PeopleSoft system as appropriate. Review Min/Max for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders appropriately. Count par level areas (Nursing Units areas) weekly according to schedule. Ensure Nursing Units items have the appropriate barcodes. Perform QA random checks on totes per approved policy. Rotate stock in Nursing Units areas and backup storeroom areas to ensure no items are out of date. Check after-hour logs for charges and determine how to avoid reoccurrence. React appropriately to Nursing Units "critical point" messages and stock outs. Process all "returns to vendor" or "returns to backup stock" appropriately. Provide assistance to the Nursing units Station personnel as well as provide assistance with problems, questions and concerns at the nurse s stations. Handle all emergency supply situations. Rotate "on call" as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement". Affixes correct delivery documents to physical order Prepares deliveries by grouping deliveries by destination department / building location. Delivers all Cardinal Valuelink orders prior to reporting to Receiving. Fully understands PeopleSoft as it relates to Distribution Services. Keys out all products issued from the perpetual inventory to maintain an accurate inventory value and replenishment process. Maintains Pyxis Supply Stations Refills Station with the correct product in and orderly fashion Verifies on hand quantity during the refill process and corrects discrepancies Communicates to management any stock outs or other product related issues regarding Pyxis. Notifies management of Pyxis / Valuelink discrepancies (over shipments, shortages, incorrect products shipped) with written notification (i.e. notes on packing slip). Notifies management of all problems related to Distribution Services. Obtains end user signature in exchange for delivered goods Records initials on delivery documents Returns all signed paperwork to Distribution Services. Performs weekly counts on top twenty Pyxis items Performs physical inventory of the Supply Stations as assigned. Places all incoming stock in its correct location Verifies that incoming product matches delivery document (product, quantity) Signs off on the delivery document as verification that the correct product and quantity was received. Responsible for the appearance, order, rotation and labeling of the Storeroom in accordance with Infection Control, Fire Safety and Materials Management Policy and Procedure Has a working knowledge of all stock items. Rotates inventory according to expiration date and removes expired product. Verifies information on packing slips versus the physical receipt of product Logs packages delivered UPS, FedEx, DHL, FedEx Ground into appropriate log book recording tracking numbers, purchase order numbers, destination department and/or employee name. Managed expired products, and maintain FIFO. Receive expedited deliveries, accurately key receiving into the PeopleSoft system, and deliver to appropriate departments. Receive all cross docked items into the PeopleSoft system as appropriate. Review Min/Max for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders appropriately. U-boat collection before the end of every shift. Maintain daily delivery and receiving log books. Perform other duties as assigned.
