Role Overview
To effectively and efficiently perform all supply and warehousing tasks to ensure maximum productivity, order accuracy and cost-effective operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
PICKING/PACKING/SHIPPING
Standards
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for the safe and accurate picking and packing of orders. Pick, pack, ship and accurately document all semen/supply orders released from Customer Service. Troubleshoot system related variances.
RECEIVING
Standards
Accurately count, verify and record all purchase receipts within a reasonable timeframe. Monitor shipments for damage, breakage or other problems and document circumstances immediately upon discovery. Ensure proper Purchase Order documentation; accurately match all items with receiving copy of Purchase Order to verify shipment request. Notify appropriate departments of products received and efficiently organize for pick-up or delivery.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Standards
Carefully monitor N2/O2 levels in all relevant facilities (buildings, trailers, etc.) to ensure air quality meets safety policies and OSHA requirements. Wear appropriate safety gear at all times in accordance with Genus/ABS safety policies. Operate forklift with proper certification only and in accordance with safety policies. Verify all product movement is accompanied by the appropriate authorization and documentation. Achieve zero accidents, safety violations and/or unsafe operations reports.

Requirements
High school diploma 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in warehousing and shipping Experience in inventory and/or logistics preferred PC literacy and keyboarding skills required. Strong attention to detail and skill working with numbers. Effective communication skills Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work effectively in a team environment Valid Wisconsin Drivers License.

Support the Distribution process in creation of printing route sheets, maps and creation of labels.
Lead and support volunteer drivers, assisting with communication via email, text, phone calls, and fliers.
Report post route issues to client services team.
Deliver meals to clients as needed.
Completion of grocery bags and other light warehouse tasks as needed.

Education and Experience :

High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Experience working with culturally diverse populations and/or clients with psychiatric disabilities, chemical dependency and/or life-challenging illness.
Demonstrated skills and strong working knowledge of software applications including Excel and Word.
Valid Washington State Drivers License and excellent driving record.
Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Tigrinya and/or Amharic a plus

Work Environment:

Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk up one flight of stairs.
Flexible to work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

GENERAL

1. Performs assignments and duties by following established procedures and management guidelines. Deviations from procedures must have prior management approval.
2. Assist in normal receiving, shipping, finished goods, and raw material handling.
3. Responsible for maintaining excellent level of housekeeping in all warehouse areas
4. Maintain forklift license.
5. Ability to operate a switcher (semi).

SHIPPING & RECEIVING

1. Receives raw materials from trucks at warehouse and manufacturing loading docks. Responsibilities include off-loading, sampling, labeling, storage, and paperwork.
2. Ships finished goods from manufacturing area and warehouse. Includes movement to loading dock area, placement of product and shipping labels on containers, transfer of bill of lading, certificate of analysis & MSDS of truck driver.
3. Responsible for safe, efficient, accurate, and timely receipt, shipment and movement of finished goods and raw materials.
4. Operates computer system to receive raw materials, ship finished goods, complete bin transfers, and other transactions as required (this includes use of the SAP system via barcoding and terminal interfaces).
5. Fills out necessary computer sheets, records, and logs.
6. Performs other assignments as required by the warehouse manager.

SAFETY:

1. Responsible for safe execution of duties in accordance with the Chemical Manufacturing Safety Rules, including wearing of required personal protective equipment, using of all provided safety devices, following all procedures.
2. Responsible for equipment checkout & startup after planned or emergency shutdown in accordance with established procedures.
3. Actively participate in the safety process through execution of safety audits, participation in safety projects, safety OFI’s, and being an attending and participating member of a safety team.
4. Complete annual safety training as required.
5. Report all spills to Warehouse Manager. Fill out spill report for any spill greater than 5 gallons.

Follow all plant procedures to ensure no negative impacts on the environment, health, safety, security, and Responsible Care processes of Milliken Chemical

This position is first shift, hours are typically Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with occasional over time.

Required Certifications :
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Willing and able to wear a respirator.

Preferred Certifications:
Forklift Certified
