For more than 40 years, Divers Institute of Technology in Seattle,
Washington, has offered real-world professional diver training as well as
specialized certifications. To gain entry to Divers Institute, students must be at least 18 years
old, have a high school diploma or GED and take an ADCI dive physical. Once enrolled students go through a 900-hour training course that gets
them in actual open water so that they will get the experience that will
best serve them in their profession. After completing their main program of study, students then have the
option of receiving professional certifications in such specializations
as: * First Aid and CPR * Hazmat * Job Safety Analysis * Open Water Scuba Diving Federal and privately sourced financial aid is awarded to students with a
demonstrated financial need. Aid sources include federal loans and
private loans. Students may also obtain part-time, on-campus employment
