We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented radiologic technologist to be responsible for operating imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes. The radiologic technologist's responsibilities include following physicians' orders regarding the area of the body to scan, positioning patients and equipment, and answering patients' questions. The radiologic technologist will use imaging equipment to capture images of tissues, bones, organs, and vessels, and may assist in the administration of radiation therapy treatments or radiopharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities:
Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.

You'll primarily perform X-rays for hips, knees, shoulders, and feet, with minimal spine imaging.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for radiological procedures and obtain high-quality diagnostic X-rays.
Follow strict safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
Develop and process radiological films.
Maintain a repeat rate of 2% or less.
Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions immediately.
Log all completed radiological procedures accurately and on time.
Maintain X-ray rooms and keep supplies stocked.
Collaborate with Physicians, PAs, and NPs to meet imaging needs.
Must-Have Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
ARRT Certification
Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
2+ years of radiologic imaging experience preferred
Nice-to-Have Skills
Ortho imaging experience
Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes

What you'll do:

Acquires digital radiographic images as ordered by clinicians with x-ray machines.
Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
Reviews for proper identification and quality check.
