Gene Lowe was named president and chief executive officer of the new SPX Corporation in 2015. In this leadership role, he is responsible for driving the company’s overall growth and profitability as a diversified, global supplier of infrastructure equipment focused on three key segments: HVAC, detection and measurement, and power. Gene joined SPX in 2008, holding multiple strategic leadership positions, most recently as the president of SPX’s Thermal Equipment and Services segment. His tenure at SPX also includes roles leading the Evaporative Cooling business and the marketing, strategy, and business development functions within the Thermal segment where he focused on driving differentiation through technology innovation and operational initiatives. Mr. Ravenscroft has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since August 2020. Mr. Ravenscroft joined Manitowoc as EVP of the Mobile Cranes business in March 2016, and in August 2017, he took responsibility for the Tower Cranes business. Prior to joining Manitowoc, Mr. Ravenscroft served as a Regional Managing Director at Weir Group, a British equipment provider focused on mining, oil and gas, and power solutions from 2013 to 2016. Mr. Ravenscroft started his career as a Sell Side stock analyst at Janney Montgomery Scott following capital goods companies from 2000 to 2003.
