The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, coordinating, and managing funding opportunities from various sources, including transportation (state and federal funds), infrastructure, and development projects. Coordination through the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), Regional Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), and other relevant funding sources will be required. The Funding/Grant Coordinator will play a crucial role in securing project funding for public and private clients including local and state agencies and driving growth and success of our firm. Key Responsibilities1. Research and Identify Michigan Funding Opportunities: Conduct in-depth research to identify relevant funding opportunities from EGLE, MDOT, MDNR, and other state and federal agencies, as well as private foundations and other sources. 2. Stay up to date with the latest funding trends, application deadlines, and eligibility criteria. 3. Grant Proposal Preparation: Develop and write comprehensive grant proposals in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment with the firm's capabilities and project goals. 4. Monitor the progress of grant applications and provide feedback to Market Leaders, Service Coordinators, Group Managers, Project Managers, and Principals of how to continuously improve these strategies. 5. Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies involved in providing funding for municipal projects. 6. This is a field-based, hands-on role supporting our drilling operations, which are primarily focused on geotechnical and environmental subsurface investigations.
