The Customer Engagement Specialist plays a key role in strengthening the relationship between IT service providers and end users. This role supports the planning and execution of engagement strategies, gathers user feedback, and helps drive service improvements through communication, outreach, and collaboration with technical teams. Duties and Responsibilities: * User Engagement & Communication: * Serve as a liaison between end users and IT service teams to ensure customer needs and concerns are captured and addressed. * Conduct outreach activities such as user briefings, onboarding sessions, and satisfaction surveys. * Assist in the development of user-facing communications, including service announcements, newsletters, and knowledge articles. * Feedback Collection & Analysis: * Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for service improvement. * Support the development of customer satisfaction metrics and reporting dashboards. * Track and report on engagement outcomes and follow-up actions. * Collaboration & Coordination: * Work closely with business analysts, documentation specialists, and service desk teams to ensure alignment of messaging and support materials. * Coordinate with VIP support teams and field technicians to ensure high-touch service delivery where needed. * Support the planning and execution of customer engagement campaigns and events. * Knowledge Sharing & Training Support: * Assist in the creation and maintenance of user guides, FAQs, and quick reference materials. * Support training initiatives by helping to identify knowledge gaps and user education needs. Duties and Responsibilities: * Build and maintain lightweight apps, scripts, dashboards, and integrations (ticketing, reporting, workflow automation). * Improve existing internal tools: fix defects, add features, and harden for scale and resilience. * Participate in incident/problem/change work: diagnose issues, create hotfixes, write KB articles, and contribute to root-cause reviews. * Support web services and common platforms (e.g., content delivery, streaming, asset management, scheduling, Windows/Linux web services). * Plan and execute small releases with change records, rollback plans, and post-implementation notes. * Write and maintain technical docs (runbooks, SOPs, API notes) and keep them current. * Ensure accessibility (e.g., Section 508) for any software or web deliverables. * Coordinate with operations and security for events, maintenance windows, and contingency activities as needed. Qualifications Education and Years of Experience: * A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (such as computer science, information technology, or business administration) is often required. * 2 - 4+ years of experience * New hires must have or complete the required certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent) within 90 days of their start date. * Security+ or equivalent is required upon hire for Tier 2, Tier 3, and technical roles. * Required Qualifications: * Proficiency in one or more: C#, .NET, PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript. * Experience with REST APIs, web services, and data exchange (JSON, XML); comfortable with auth patterns (OAuth/OpenID). * Solid grasp of CI/CD, source control, and code reviews (GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps). * Familiarity with IT operations practices (incidents, problems, changes) and writing KB articles. * Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server fundamentals; experience with IIS or Nginx a plus. * Comfortable with SQL or a modern datastore; able to write simple queries and optimize for common use cases. * Clear, concise documentation and the habit of leaving systems easier to operate than you found them. Nice to Have: * Experience with ServiceNow or another ITSM platform (flows, APIs, catalog, reporting). * Telephony/ACD or messaging integrations (Teams/Slack, call events, warm-transfer workflows). * Front-end skills for internal tools (React, basic HTML/CSS). * Packaging and deployment experience (MSI, winget, Docker, or similar).
